Buckle up…this may be long, but hopefully it’s beneficial… This 10 pound bag of soda ash is the unsung hero of my crafting and cleaning routine. I originally bought it for tie-dyeing clothes, and boy-oh-boy—it made the colors P O P soooooo much brighter and more vibrant! It helps the dye bind to the fabric perfectly, so nothing fades or washes out. But I was pleasantly surprised to learn how versatile this stuff is beyond just the tie-dye, especially since I had to much of it to use. So, since ordering it, I used it to:: ~ Prep my fabric for tie-dyeing flannel shirts and some jeans. Using this is essential to achieve a deep and lasting color. ~ Used it as a laundry booster as this helps brighten the whites and remove stubborn stains, and it does great doing that! ~ Raises the pH level in bath water (or even a pool if you have one). Doing this reduces the eye and skin irritation. ~ Used it as a general cleaner for my sinks, countertops and even my cookware. ~ To deodorize and soften my clothes in the washing machine. My son has very sensitive skin so I’ve learned that adding this is perfect for people like him as it doesn’t harm his sensitive skin! ~ It prevents itchy skin that you get from hard water (which we have here in California). All you have to do is add it to your bath water or laundry water/wash your clothes with it, and it’ll prevent you from having itchy skin, which we all do in my family due to having eczema. ~It removes greasy build-up from surfaces and tools, in which my sons work a lot with. ~Lastly, I’ve found that it’s an eco-friendly alternative to harsher chemical cleaners. Also, because I have this big ol’ 10 pound bag, I’m glad that it has this resealable packaging because it’s convenient because the quantity is so general. I figured that this will last me quite a while, which is why I found other uses for it but now that I’ve used it in so many ways, I will need to get more sooner than I thought because this stuff is fantastic! Now, if you’re like me and are into crafts, DIY home care, or you just want to level up your laundry routine, get yourself some of this stuff! It’s TOTALLY worth it! 10 out of 10, I’d definitely recommend!

Fantastic product!
This product was originally purchased to use in my craft project for tye dye, but my son discovered that it can also be used as a laundry additive to help sanitize clothing, so at this time we are using this as a laundry additive. It works fantastically, just a small amount and absolutely no residual odors left in your laundry. Clean and fresh. But please note as on the directions use with care, it is a caustic compound, and can cause eye, skin and breathing issues if not used properly.

A must for tie dying
This was a good deal for a quality soda ash. I soaked the shirts for about twenty minutes before dying, and the colours were vibrant after being washed. I highly recommend this brand for your tie dye projects.

Perfect for tie dye
Use a lot of soda ash, and this variety isn't any better or worse than any other... It is however resealable

Spectacular Value!
I use quite a bit of sodium carbonate in my home-made film developers. This product is top notch and lasts long enough to make it a superb value and I love the resealable bag. Will continue to purchase this as long as it is available.

It’s very useful
I tie dye shirts and this product is very useful at keeping colors vibrant. And the 10 lb bag will go a long way, way longer for the price than buying pounds one at a time.

Perfect for the hot tub
Hot tub chemicals are expensive. I found that using soda ash is safe to use in the hot tub to keep your water PH and Alkalinity at the right level. I use two tablespoons in a 400 gal hot tub. It doesn’t take much. There is no smell and the water feels great. I’m saving a huge amount using this product instead of PH up and Alk up.

We use this to raise our pool PH, naturally. It’s effective and a pure and concentrated product that we like to use instead of pool chemicals from a pool supply store that can have outrageous prices for diluted products with fillers etc.
