STABILO Graphite Pencil Exam Grade - Box of 12-2B

Schwan Stabilo is another glorious company that has been making writing instruments for a long, long time in Germany. This company ranks in quality with Faber-Castell, Staedtler, Caran D'Ache, in other words, the top names in pencil making. This particular pencil is just beautiful. I have used Schwan products since I was in elementary school. My parents bought me a Schwan Othello tin with colored pencils that gave me many satisfactions for years, unforgettable memories. If it is Schwan is good!

Great pencils if you're looking more for a stylistic touch. Purchased more for aesthetic use than for 'exam use' as described by Stabilo. Product seems to be manufactured well.Be sure to note which graphite grade you're using. The higher the number in boldness (2B, 3B, 4B, etc.) the more brittle the graphite is when sharpening. I use these pencils for phone call note taking in my office, so I'm not really using it for advanced drafting.

I love the Stabilo Exam Grade 2B pencils (black with red tips) - they truly write well - very dark. Kids love it too...tried the multi-color Stabilo 2B pencils which aren't as good. I like these better than the Staedler Exam Grade 2B (black and yellow pencils which was a main staple for me when I was growing up). Can't go wrong with these though they are quite pricey. I usually load up when I am overseas in Asia for ~US$2 for a box of 12 pencils.
