Good for all levels of experience
TL;DR - great for all levels, not my first time doing sfx makeup, has all the tools you need to begin with. This is my first sfx kit, but not the first time I’ve done sfx makeup. It’s a pretty good starter kit for people who have not done sfx before, since it has most tools that you’d need. I do wish it had a few toothpicks to get better scar carve outs than what the blade can offer, but that’s my personal opinion. I’ve previously used liquid latex & ripped cotton pads for my scar makeup to make it look more straggly, but I needed some wax and more fake blood for my Halloween look this year. Might update this review with how that look turns out. You will need your own concealer to blend it into your skin, of course. I just tested this out with stuff I use on my face, which is obviously not the same shade as my hand (as seen in the video). It comes with instructions & I was following the instructions to test it out. The wax did dry out very quickly, though, and has started cracking within the 10-15 minutes since I did the makeup (see photos for reference/comparison). I don’t really mind it, though, as it gives it a more rugged/gory look, so it’s not all smooth, which I love. The grosser, the better, for me.

Amazing!
I am very impressed with this kit! It looks very realistic and easy to use. However, it takes a very long time to dry. That is my only complaint. I would definitely recommend this product!

Worth it
The scar wax tool had surprised me as it was a stainless steel instead of cheap plastic! I can use this for any clay/molding project. The makeup for "bruising" was amazing! Very real looking! And the liquid blood is exactly as I wanted it to be. Doesn't take long to dry. Haven't used the liquid latex yet.

Five Stars for the Zombies, Zero Stars for my Bathroom Sink
I bought this CHASPA Liquid Latex SFX Kit for my son’s latest cosplay obsession, and let’s just say our house now looks like the "before" scene of a high-budget horror movie. I thought he’d just make a little scratch on his cheek; instead, he’s transformed into a walking, peeling biological hazard. The Gory Details: The Realism: This kit is terrifyingly effective. He used the Liquid Latex and Scab Blood to create a "gash" on his arm that was so convincing I almost called 911 before remembering I’m the one who paid for the SFX makeup. The Texture: The modeling wax is surprisingly easy to mold. He successfully gave himself a "broken nose" that looks so painful I found myself offering him an ice pack. It’s like having a professional makeup artist in the house, except this one leaves red smudges on the fridge. The "Scab" Factor: The Coagulated Blood is the MVP. It doesn’t just run everywhere; it stays thick and "crusty," which is exactly what you want for a zombie cosplay and exactly what you don't want on your good white towels. The Pros: Complete Kit: It comes with spatulas, sponges, and stippling tools, so he didn't have to raid my kitchen for "tools" to apply his fake skin. Stay-Put Power: Once that latex sets, it is not moving. He went to a convention, sweated through three hours of photos, and came home looking just as "decayed" as when he left. The Cons: The Smell: Liquid latex has a very... distinct aroma. It smells like a blend of "industrial strength ammonia" and "regret." We have to open every window in the house just so we don't hallucinate. The Removal: Taking it off is basically a free exfoliation session. Watching him peel it off is both satisfying and slightly traumatizing. Five stars. It’s the perfect kit for any aspiring SFX artist. Just buy some extra paper towels—you’re going to need them.

bad scar wax
The scar wax it’s self i didn’t like i ended up making my own because it was so insanely hard and when i finally warmed it up enough and put it on and started the smoothing process it had hard clumps and lumps in it that i couldnt get out and it was a texture nightmare but everything else i liked the blood its good the paint is good and the tool it comes with makes it so easy to blend stuff out i haven’t tried the liquid latex but it definitely smells like normal liquid latex i will include pictures of some stuff i made with the paint and blood

Good beginner set!
Super fun! The makeup blends seamlessly and the scar max is super fun to work with. I have learned that with this particular scar wax, the best way to use it is to warm it in your hands to make it a bit more bendy, but once you do it works like a dream! I will be buying more again. :)
