Start & Run a Coffee Bar (Start & Run Business Series) Paperback – February 1, 2011

This book was absolutely wonderful! I did not want to put it down. The authors put a lot of thought into what you should know about opening and running your new or already established coffee bar. Very detailed! I wanted to run out and open my business right after I read this book. :-) But, research, research, research will have you better prepared. It wouldn't hurt to have this book under your arm the whole time either!I am so glad I bought it! It was well worth my time and money! Thanks for the reviews on this book. They played a huge part in purchasing this book.

Even though some of the information in it is a tad dated (2009) this is still great information to know if you're looking to start a coffee bar. I especially love the budget, job application, and ongoing expenditure templates. It was all around very helpful, especially if you're looking to lay some of your anxieties to rest.

As a designer, I was looking more for input on equipment layout and functionality. This book gave me a good equipment list to discuss and layout with the client. The local building department loved our plans! The one area where the book falls short is helping to illustrate some good layouts.

I have bought several books about getting into the coffee business, but this one far and away is more informative than the others. I find myself going back to the book regularly for ideas and insights. It is straightforward in its' approach and gives you some things to think about. I think the start-up equipment lists could be a bit more extensive, but that is my only complaint. Use this book as a guide to get into the business.

Seemed like a professional book. Very technical. It is set up a little weird, but all in all very thorough.

If you are in the market to start a coffee bar or want to know if its the avenue you should take this book is a good starter to some great ideas. I would recommend this to anyone that this might be a possible path.

The book gives figures and percentages of the industry. It is not an easy read, but a work book to get you ready to start a coffee bar. I believe you can take this book and start a successful store.

It's a great book and the CD has a good reference for items you need to consider when opening a coffee bar. It's also at a great price. Highly recommended.
