Great stuff I bought this because the one that I usually buy was sold out and I was really having a Hanken for beef jerky so I gave this a try and I’m so glad I did. Thank you. You guys keep up the good work.!!!! oh and you now have a permanent customer!!!!!

This has a great texture for an old fashioned jerky, nice and dry with a good amount of chew to it and a thickness that is substantial without making the cuts rubbery. Flavor wise, however, the Peppered jerky is a complete pepper bomb. Yes obviously the jerky is going to have black pepper on it, but this stuff winds up numbing the tongue. Also please note that the advertised unit price is INCORRECT as of 9/2/2020 -- the reported price is for 9oz of product but the order is for 6oz of product, resulting in a significant price difference of $1.34/oz.

This is good beef jerky if it is recent. One might ask, what does such a statement mean? Well, while uncommon, I do get some old bags...that's concerning. It is easy to tell because it turns to dust in your mouth and has little flavor. This has happened twice in maybe 11 bags, so a concerningly high percentage. It never occurred to me to make a claim as if it were bad, which arguably it is. My point is this, when it is fresh, its really good texas old style (calm down, OK borders TX....sheesh), when its not, in the trash it goes. I have it on subscription, but will take it off if it happens again.... 3 strikes n all.

This is still the best brand of beef jerky I have tried.

It's very tasty jerky. Didn't last very long because it's difficult to not eat it while it sits next to me. The seasoning is very nice and savory. I'm not a fan of those really tender jerky; I wanted some that is super tough and can be chewed for a long time while it gives out flavor. This isn't that, but it has a pleasant normal toughness and dryness, and is certainly a good product.

This jerky is exactly as described and precisely what I enjoy. It is dry as advertised. That's fine with me. I don't care for a jerky that has sticky pieces. Especially because I use my PC frequently and I don't want my sticky fingers to transfer to the keyboard. You won't have that problem this authentic beef jerky. The only problem that I have is after I devour one piece I can't stop. Once the taste buds and saliva glands go to work it is almost impossible to put down the bag. I move the bag to another room. I highly recommend that any jerky lover like me try this brand. There are multiple other flavors offered. I just purchased another three pack today.

I had high hopes for this since I’m a big fan of hard dried beef jerky rather than the moist style you mostly get with brands like jack links. I also like spicy foods and put black pepper on almost everything I eat, however this jerky is so thoroughly imbued with massive amounts of black pepper as to make it virtually inedible. It’s neither spicy nor tasty , it just tastes of black pepper, huge amounts of black pepper. If you ground a pepper mill directly into your mouth it would more or less replicate eating this jerky. Rinsing it and drying it to remove any pepper residue from the surface does help just a little, but barely enough and still not enough to want to eat the 3 packets I sadly purchased. On the plus side the jerky is tougher and more chewy than the moist style but still not enough for my taste so overall this was a huge disappointment for me, I’d honestly return it if I were able to, and certainly won’t be buying this brand again.
