iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for 14" HP Chromebook 14 G2 Series (14-Q010NR 14-Q020NR 14-Q029WM 14-Q030NR 14-Q070NR, etc) laptops (Aqua)

I looked into getting this case for my teal Chromebook 14 after my current black laptop case began leaving its "stain" on the rubberized plastic exterior of the Chromebook, especially on the edges.Pros:-The clear case provides a way for those who bought a coral/teal Chromebook to preserve the vibrant color of their exterior. The case is completely clear, and lets the original color remain as vibrant as ever.-It's very light, and thin. For my purpose, it does what it needs to without adding much bulk. There is slightly more protrusion on the bottom, simply to allow for better air circulation.-Super easy to attach/detach.-Folding legs on the bottom provide a nice elevation for typing on flat surfaces.Cons:-Almost TOO easy to take off: sometimes, simply readjusting of the Chromebook can loosen one of the attachment spots on the case.-The top case blurs the HP and Chromebook logo a bit.-I wouldn't go around dropping this on the ground. There isn't much shock absorption. This case works much better as a cosmetic cover than one to protect it from drops/damage of that type.-The rubberized plastic around the ports (USB, HDMI, etc.,). I have yet to see if this will cause further "staining", but I'm hoping the overall separation from the original surface will keep it from doing so.Conclusion:For its value, the iPearl mCover case is great for protecting a very unique surface that is found on Chromebook 14's. While it shouldn't be used for shock protection, it works well for the purpose it should be bought for. I love my case, and am certain it will keep my Chromebook looking vibrant and new for years longer than it would've on its own. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Garbage !!!! Upon opening it up you will notice a very cheap looking thin piece of plastic, you wont be very happy i assure you.It will only get worse you will snap it on and the top will hold decent enough but the back will not . It snaps on with loose fitting pitiful 5 cent probably or less plastic that doesnt hold worthless. We took it right off put it in box and returned. The quality of things are falling apart, this is a poster product for the deterioration of quality. It was exciting packing it back up and driving to UPS to return !! Avoid

I purchased a white HP Chromebook about a month ago and quickly noticed how easily it could be scuffed. I take good care of my laptops and generally don't purchases shells for them. However, it became very evident this Chromebook was going to look terrible if I didn't purchase something to protect it. iPearl is the only company I found offering a customized shell for this model, and the price is inexpensive. When the clear shell case arrived, I wasn't especially impressed; however, it's a perfect fit for my Chromebook, and I have no problems with it slipping or coming off.As others have mentioned, it isn't entirely clear. It has a frosted look to it, but it looks nice. It's done a very good job of protecting my machine from scratches and scuffs, so I am happy with the product and would consider purchasing one for another machine in the future.

I purchased a Chromebook to be my school workhorse, but immediately I recognized the dangers of scratches and whatnot without a protective cover. I also wanted to place a few decals on the lid and I didn't want them fading out. Lastly, I wanted to keep the sky blue bottom of my Chromebook in pristine condition.I was glad to find these hard shell cases that come in different colors. Considering that I wanted my decals to be visible, I opted for the clear one. I was well aware of the other reviews saying that the bottom doesn't fit, but chromebook covers aren't mainstream (especially for the bigger HP ones). I also didn't want those silicon covers, so I almost had no other choice.I was excited to find out that the shell for the lid fits perfectly. It was easy to snap on. It also doesn't add any extra bulk or weight, which is perfect. Though as expected, the shell for the bottom was hopeless. It simply would not snap in place, almost as if it was molded from a different one. I decided to just do without the bottom cover and forego the returns process. I was mainly concerned about protecting the top and that's what I got.Still disappointing, however, that you only get to use half of the item while still paying the full price. That's why the rating is only at 3 (it's really 2.5 but had to round off). I can only rate the working half.

Just received today and it fits my HP Chromebook fine. I especially like the "feet" on the bottom because the Chromebook does get hot, this allows more air circulation on the bottom of the machine. The color is nice and it is see through, I can see the HP logo through the cover. I feel it is a good option cover for the dollar amount. My Chromebook is white and I just can't get the scuff marks off of it unfortunately they show through the cover. It would be good if it was a non-see through cover, but that would also probably increase the price. Its a bright kelly green - the closest match I can think of is a green sucker. I don't think there is anything wrong with it and it does a good job of adding a pop of color to my Chromebook and protecting it from more scuffs. It will not protect if your laptop is dropped - not designed to do that. It adds color and protection from scuffs and dirt (pets walking over it).

The top half of this cover fits and snaps in nicely with the 14" HP Chromebook; however the bottom half is very loose and does not "click" in at all and the holes in the cover that are supposed to line up with the speakers to allow sound to clearly pass through are off. Now the Chromebook sounds a bit muffled. We used thin 3m tape to get the fit issue taken care of but I'm going to carefully Dremel file the speaker holes in the cover to widen them to allow the sound to pass cleanly.

Muy buena calidad. Pero me equivoque de tamaño en mi computadora. Así que no lo uso.

Me dieron unas medidas y a la hora de encargarla era otra medida la que llego, intente devolverlo y jamas me dijeron el proceso de devolucion... nunca compren eso... esta horrible y no es la medida que dice...
