I'm no expert at colouring, learnt the basics (at school many years ago!) but wanted to get some hints and ideas. I found there wasn't a great deal available that covered my needs but this book I found useful, I gained some new mediums to work with along with ideas on using different mediums. The book starts with a guide to colouring supplies.. I found this most useful. The rest of the book covers colour, blending shading and layering along with images to experiment with. Its a book for beginner's and those needing inspiration. To compliment this book I purchased Colorist's Special Effects by Helen Elliston...very useful (see my review)

I couldn't decide which to choose - Helen Elliston's or this one. Decided on Helen's but, although very good, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. However I then splashed out and bought this one too. Am so pleased I did! A quick flip through and I already know it contains what I wanted. Very informative as to mediums, blending, and shading. if you can buy both books I feel you could then progress nicely onto Helen's.

A really good book for beginners with lots of great tips and tricks. I use the book daily and in a short time I can see that my coloring technique has changed significantly in a positiv wayI highly recommend this book to beginners and others who want to improve their technique.

This is a great aid for beginners as it provides practical advice on what products to purchase and a useful step by step guide on everything to do with colouring.

I am a newby to adult colouring and absolutely new nothing, other than colouring within the lines. This book gives lots of info for someone like me. A handy book which is packed with information and encouragement. Good buy and quick delivery
