OXO Good Grips Prep and Go Utensils with Case

I'm so glad I decided to switch to these reusable stainless steel lunch utensils. They are incredibly sturdy and feel much more substantial than the last set I owned. They have a nice weight to them, which makes them feel high-quality. In fact, my husband liked them so much he said they fit perfectly in his hand, so I bought another set for him. I've been using them almost every day, and they work great in the dishwasher, which is a huge convenience. The fact that they come with their own case is also super handy for keeping them clean in my lunch bag. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a durable and reliable utensil set for their lunches.

I use these utensils almost every day and I gotta say, they changed my lunch game. They are high-quality so I feel like I am eating a normal meal, not some work-truck gas-station lame meal with plastic utensils. the carrying case is fairly strong - I did sorta crush mine a little bit but it kept my utensils safe, it still closes, and I can still use it as designed. overall, I am very pleased and always take a glance around the room when I pull these out just to catch a couple of jealous looks and revel in my utensil supremacy.

I've had this traveling utensil kit for several years. They are great in size and quality. The scoop part of the spoon is in the middle between a full sized dinner spoon and a small desert spoon. The fork is also medium sized on the tines between a home dinner and desert fork. The knife also does a good job cutting through meats like a porkchop. These are so great I've purchased extra sets for when I don't have time to wash them between shifts and as gifts for others who also pack their own meals. They do well being handwashed or through the dishwasher.

The set is great except the forks are very dull. You can’t really stick them into a piece of meat unless it is hamburger.

Here is a fine set of decent looking and well made utensils, but I bought them because they came in a handy carrying case and I keep them in my locker at work so I always have my own set to eat lunch with. That is very convenient. They store quite well and I can't believe one reviewer couldn't figure out how to work the case - that's just embarrassing.

IMPORTANT: This WILL set off metal detectors due to the layers of metal from the housed utensils, so I suggest handing off to the attendant before you even go through if you're ever in that situation. Regardless of that process that I repeated for 10 days out a 12-day activation - we decided to figure out what the offending item was on the second day, and I never needed to be stopped again after that - I am an extremely happy owner of this very thoughtfully-designed OXO product. I sometimes have modelling activations that go 12+ hours, and I hated having to remember to pack silverware every time I chose to pack a meal, and then needing to keep the silverware somehow isolated from everything else after usage to avoid getting anything dirty and ensure that the sharp points and edges weren't able to harm anything around it. While I've never forgotten to bring silverware, there have been too many occasions where it was a last-minute jolt of memory as I was heading out of the door, and I was not in favor of that minor backtrack becoming habitual. I checked out options at several local places between upscale home and digital nomad+outdoorsy stores, but most offerings were more camp-oriented and therefore not exactly appealing in form and appearance, plus they did not help with automatically keeping anything around the utensils clean and free of potential damage. At some point, I turned to OXO to see if an option existed among their products and found this gem. Not available in any local store, and no local options were worth considering in comparison, so an order it was. Arrived just in time for a 12-day activation. Sturdy hinged case that stays firmly closed yet still opens with ease, protecting the utensils perfectly. Decently lightweight without sacrificing weight for the form, function, or appearance of each piece. The utensils themselves handled well and would blend in at a dinner table far better than current competing options on the market. Bonus points for this being created in my favorite color. I rarely need a knife for a packed meal, so I typically leave the knife at home, which makes the case rattle a bit more due to the unused space. I always pack both the spoon and the fork just in case, and ended up helping a teammate who was scrambling for utensils at one point as result, so yay for automatic preparedness. I can see this remaining a part of my travel kit until OXO decides to upgrade it somehow. In the meantime, this sits atop my several HydroFlask meal containers, so I never need a reminder to pack silverware again.

After years of working in healthcare, I finally found something that is not only durable but was also cost effective. I don’t know about anyone else but I typically have several food items that I would use plastic utensils with throughout the day. Since owning this set, I can easily wash and reuse with ease. The case is sturdy, never “accidentally” opens in my lunch bag. The utensils themselves have the typical weight of your home silverware. The knife is great to have as well when I need to cut through meat. I’ve also had several coworkers threaten to steal my set. I even bought an additional set for another friend. Product came fast with prime shipping. If you’re looking for a reliable set with a sturdy case, I definitely recommend!
