Okay I tried both inexpensive sponge and RED by Kiss Bow Wow X Twist King. They both worked great. However, Twist King weight down my arms (HEAVY HEAVY- Although it does the job I don't want sore arms just to get tight twist. In my case Twist king worked well on both dry and wet hair. it was easy to clean, hard to hold for small hands. On the side note: tring to use this on a combination of 3 types of hair. - . Even with the struggle. I decided to keep it and use it as a back up. Prefer the inexpensive brand. Be the judge for yourself.

Don’t spend another dollar on another curl sponge ever again! Yes, many curl sponges get the job done, but not like this thing right here. This thing is amazing. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and it has not let me down at all.Let me tell you how I came across this product. I realized I needed a new curl sponge and went to look for ones I’ve previously purchased. As I was searching, I came across this twist curl brush by RED. Reviews were good and so I gave it a shot and it has not disappointed.The biggest difference is material. It’s like a heavy duty rubber type material. It durability allows you to wash it and I can tell it won’t break down over time.Another reason I swear by this product is my hair starts to twist like immediately when I start to use it, regardless of if I have just gotten out of the shower and my hair is wet, or when I wake up in the morning and my hair is dry - don’t even need to apply any product.With my other curl sponges, my hair had to be almost dry, if not completely dry, before my hair would begin to twist. If my hair was completely dry, I had to make sure I applied curl moisturizer or it wouldn’t work hardly at all.So, if you are looking for a new curl sponge, or even better, an alternative to a curl sponge, definitely try this out. It’s not sponge material at all and works so good…

This item is not for everyone. I have short 4c hair but this item did not define my curls, instead it was separating my hair even when I continued to use circular motion. Maybe there is a technique to use this, but it did not work for me.

This product was good but did not work as good as thought maybe because my hair was to long but in all it is a very good product

The sponges get nasty and hard to clean so I had to try this and I'm glad I did! This is on point and works better than the soft sponge and you can easily clean it. 🔥💪🏽
