Rigged and Ready

Kaum kam heute der Paketdienst, schon bin ich ans Wasser gegangen, um meine neue Rute zu testen. Sie ist wirklich top. Bin froh sie gefunden zu haben. Hoffe, die Firma kann sich auch bald in Deutschland durchsetzen. Finde die Rute mit ihren 3 Spitzen sehr praktisch. Ich mag es, mit so wenig Ausrüstung wie möglich los zu ziehen. Auch wenn es eigentlich eine Reiserute ist, sie wird sicher zu meiner Lieblingsrute werden. Einzig und allein der Reißverschluss ist etwas seltsam, der Zipper fehlt. Lässt sich aber sicher durch etwas ersetzen.

This is my fourth Rigged & Ready rod. Unlike my other 3 this one is telescopic and made of carbon versus the composite material and put together configurations. It comes with 3 carbon tips that are light, regular, and heavy. I went with the Fish Rig Max over the Fish Rig 180 as I felt it would give me more options for bigger fish over the 180 rod.This rod is stiffer than the other 3 I own, has a fast action, and overall is a lighter rod. I have fished the regular and heavy tips so far and landed 34 fish. The rod is super sensitive and hook sets are positive. I like this rod a lot so it will see a lot of action.Fit and finish are generally good with the exception that one of the knurled rings on the down lock screw for the reel seat spins around the carbon screw fitting. This doesn't affect it's function but is a bit annoying. Overall a really good rod that's highly portable.

Bought this rod as a replacement for a very cheap telescopic rod I had been using. Wanted something that lasted well and lightweight for travelling to remote hill lochs. Not used the rod yet but very happy with its size, weight and quality. Opted for the max version rather than the fish rig 180 to allow me to catch bigger fish like pike if I wanted too without the worry of breaking the rod or adding additional stress on it. Also plan on using it for catch small river sea trout from time to time. Happy with this purchase so far.Update since using the rod - really happy with the rod and how it performs! Great quality and really smooth to use paired with the R&R 3000 reel. Really glad I opted for this rod. Works great from shore or fishing kayak. Highly recommend!

Super compact, sensitive, lightweight but surprisingly powerful rod. I've balanced it with a 2000 sized reel for light work, the telescopic/tip insert combination is a winner. Ideal for drop shotting, canoe or small boat fishing in fresh water because can be set up in a confined space. Perfect for a wander along a canal. In competent hands, I'm sure this could handle a double figure pike no problem, but I haven't been lucky enough to be able to test that out as yet.
