The writing covering difficult times in the three main characters is full of empathy and age appropriate. The descriptions of the puppies was delightful. Made me smile. This is the first book I've read by this Author. She's Awesome. I'm a Big Dog Lover, Love All Animal's. Young Girl in this Story very Determined. Loved her Optimism. But then as pretty much Children usually are, I remember so at that age, but the undertaking She did I don't know if I could have done and bet many couldn't. It's a Story of being strong, Emotionally and Determination to get out of a Bad situation as you'll read. You won't be sorry reading this Story. I have alot of her Books, actual paperback, I'm 67 years old, the era of feeling a book in your hands the Best.

(I was fortunate to have received an ARC of this book.) There is a magic moment in reading when sometimes a word or a phrase enters my heart and mind at the same time, creating a mini-explosion of pure delight. This book’s phrase “riot of puppies” is like that: you get exactly what it looks like and feels like and means. That is what this book did for me on a larger scale, too. Not every chapter of this book brings only delight, though. Like all good books, it offers us people who have hurdles to overcome. And Abby Hubble has her share of them. So does her mother, Mary. So does Elliot Colvin, who recently lost his wife. Through a chance occurrence and her own strength of will, Abby is able to save and rescue seven puppies. And her journey of trying to keep and care for them—allows herself and other people in her life to be saved and rescued, too. I’ll let you find the other “riot” phrase in this heartwarming, delightful story.
