Perfect for the casual user - ++Updated April, 2018++
+++Update 04/17/2018:+++ I had bought 2 of these at the same time, and the charge port on both failed within a few weeks of each other. Luckily, at that time, both were still under warranty. I had enough battery to back up my wife's tablet, but mine was dead when I realized it wasn't charging. ASUS took care of both machines (still under warranty) and they were returned with new Motherboards. And new harddrives. (I'm assuming the drives are built-in to the boards for the sake of room.) Re-loaded both and we were back up and running. Now my screen has developed a crack in the touch field, not the display, and is useless. I will be contacting ASUS this weekend to see what the damage to my wallet will be. MAybe I can get it backed up this time. We'll see. I'm going to deduct a star for having charging problems in the first place, but only one, since ASUS fixed it under warranty. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I'm not a gamer. At most, I will play a slots or hidden objects game. Most of my time on the computer is spent surfing the web or post-processing my photographs. With the addition of Onedrive and a mid-sized micro-SD card, this is the perfect computer for me. If I had to, I could fit the machine in my camera bag to take it with me. I do have to be careful not to get too many programs and apps open at the same time, though. This machine gives you multiple methods to input to it: Touch-screen or stylus, mouse (via the usb (3.0) port), internal and external keyboards. You have the option, in windows 10, to use it in either tablet mode or desktop mode. Tablet mode keeps the win10 start menu up all of the time, and depends on the on-screen keyboard, with touch and the stylus, for input. Your mouse inputs also work in tablet mode. Desktop mode acts like a traditional computer. The stylus is electronic, and depends on a AAAA (that's right, Quadruple A!) battery for power. I didn't even know they made such a thing, lol. After 6 months of use, the nib end on mine is starting to get somewhat mushy, and I don't know if the tip alone can be replaced. I have enjoyed using it for the 6 months I've had it. I look forward to using it for a few more years. ***As always, I have neither asked for, nor received, any compensation for my review. This is my own, un-biased opinion. (And lots of it!)***

Best Laptop/Mini I've ever had regardless of Price!
Purchased this notebook about 2 weeks after it came out. Replaced an ASUS T-100 that gave satisfactory service as my "portable" PC while traveling on business and during vacations for three years, but the older Transformer began to have battery and other hardware issues as well as a grumpy and inconsistent touch screen in Laptop mode. It handled the full MS Office 365 and Office 2013 Suite pretty well while on the road. I've had the new Mini now for two weeks. The new Transformer Mini T102HA-D4-GR is the first PC/Laptop/Notebook I've purchased over the past 32 years which not only meets the hype on the ASUS web site, but significantly exceeds my best expectations in virtually every gradeable area. The touch screen is absolutely outstanding in all respects, the INTEL processor gives the Mini a fast tempo in all tasks, including wireless streaming for every source utilized so far, and it is really nice to have the AC wireless built in to the chassis. Battery life is exceptional! Best speakers I've ever heard in any Laptop/Notebook. It is a perfect match with Windows 10 and I find myself actually having fun with it! The aesthetics of the polished metal shell, felt lined base, and feather weight, combined with the superb performance, makes one question how this hard working Mini can achieve a profit for ASUS at only $399.00. While it may present itself as a "budget" machine, it is clearly FAR above the budget category in all respects. I'll update this review in a month or two to see if any of this praise and adulation must be moderated (I doubt that that will happen.). UPDATE (November 30, 2016): After a couple months' use, I am reverifying all comments made earlier. This little horse continues to exceed expectations in all respects--the most satisfying computer I've ever owned!

First; this isn't meant to be a gaming system; this is meant for web browsing, light office app use, watching video, listening to music and other light tasks. Judging it based on that.. it does everything it should very well! The build quality is very good. the tablet itself is a nice metal with rounded edges. The kickstand hold the unit up at a wide variety of angles. Its not the thickest, so it could bend if treated roughly; but anything thicker would add weight and bulk to a slim device. The screen isn't the highest resolution but its very bright and vibrant. Any high resolution would result in onscreen text being too small. The trackpad and keyboard are good too. The assembly magnetically latches onto the talent unit so well the tablet can hang from the keyboard; but its easily separated if need be. As with many of these slim folio style keyboards, the keys aren't the largest, yet have a satisfying feel to them for what they are. A small downside is the trackpad. Its not the most responsive unit for multtitouch gestures like scrolling; but perhaps I've been spoiled on premium devices.... As a bonus; theres a fingerprint sensor on the back. This works beautifully for loving into windows with the Hello feature!! The battery ;last almost there advertised time of 11 hours if using to brows the web or watch videos and listen to music. However; it charges through a micro usb connection so its not a fast changing device. The usb ports are both USB 3.0 so they are plenty fast. Performance on this machine is adequate to good depending on the task. You won't be able to do high end graphical work or video editing on this smoothly at all.. However for the average person browsing the web or consuming media; you should do just fine. But with 4GB of ram; take into mind that you won't be able to have tons of tabs open in your browser at once or have a lot of apps open at once either. I wish the ram were upgradable; or came with 8gb. The included 128gb eMMC isn't as fast as an SSD; but its plenty quicker and quieter than a traditional hard drive. In fact the whole unit is totally silent! No fans, no spinning hard drive, no capacitor whine, no creaky plastics... We'll; unless you have a video or some music playing... and the speakers are plenty loud for such a slim system!! To sum up everything; this is a great little machine considering its price, size and intended use. It could have more ram and a better trackpad; but those shortcomings aren't a deal breaker. I'd recommend this a s a secondary machine or something that you will take with you to school or just when out and about! I'd gibe it 4.5 stars if I could.

First of all, the battery life is INSANE! This is the first laptop I've ever had where I didn't have to worry about charging it up every single day. It is great for travel, wonderful on planes and trains and buses. It is ultra-light, portable, convenient. It has even helped to save my phone from dying because I could use it to charge up my phone on the go. It is perfect for a traveling writer, and I have already written a book on it! I do wish there was a little more storage, or that it was a little faster, but it is seriously wonderful for what I need. I have been using it with the Tryone gooseneck arm, to lift it up to eye level and be more ergonomic. As a novelist, I mostly use word documents and internet browsing, but I needed to do some emergency Photoshopping while traveling, and found that it could handle that quite nicely, too. Just be prepared to need a USB keyboard if you are a heavy user-- although, if you are a heavy user, I am sure you already have a USB keyboard. I REALLY, REALLY wish this computer had more than one USB port, since I have the keyboard connected most of the time. Other than that, perfect.

Muy buena computadora y muy práctica, el único detalle es que el Excel, PowerPoint y Word bien predeterminadas como mobile y no se pueden convertir los archivos a pdf, y hacer funciones que en una lap normal si se puede.

For the price, this Windows tablet worked great. I used it for a semester of school and it worked well with programs like OneNote for writing notes in class and importing handouts. It added a whole other level of convienience and organization to my school year. I had scoured reviews prior to purchasing and realized that the specs and quality weren't top of the market so I wasn't expecting the most powerful tablet which was fine for my purposes of school notebook replacement. My major issues were that the pen is not very accurate and the nib is not made to write well, even when I added a matte screen protector to increase friction. Battery life was great although charging took a very long time, the cable port is very loose and sometimes loses connection, and the included cable is far too short. The keyboard is not good for long typing sessions but fine for notes and quick emails. Often keys don't register when they are pressed leading to a lot of corrections. The finger print scanner would often stop functioning and I would have to scan my prints again. Eventually, I stopped using this feature as it was more of a pain than convienient. Otherwise, my issues lay with having a Windows tablet in general. I did not find Tablet Mode to be particularly intuitive and was often finding myself using pen and paper again anyway when my tablet took a long time to update or was running slow. Ultimately, I resold the tablet and bought a new Android one instead but this one is fine if you want to save cash or start yourself off with a new tablet.
