I bought this product back in October 2024, it was my first time installing this type of thing for hidden cables in the wall. It was was actually very easy, directions were simple and easy to follow. My only worry was when I was cutting into the wall I would cut a wire or something. But it worked out great! Great quality, and will be ordering 2 more shortly! I recommend.

very easy to hide tv wires on wall mount tv application, unique product , no drywall repair required , best for interior wall with no cross braces, use a stud finder to determine before ordering , so you will be aware of any obstacles that may require extra work (cut drywall) , watch U-tube for simple instruction

I’ve installed the DataComm Electronics Recessed Pro-Power Kit a few times now, and I really like it. The quality is solid, the layout is smart, and it gives any wall-mounted TV a clean, professional finish. The recessed design hides everything neatly, and the included Romex and straight blade inlet make the wiring straightforward. Installation is definitely DIY-friendly—clear instructions, good fit, and the kit sits flush for a clean look. Every time I’ve used it, the results come out great. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to clean up cables behind a mounted TV.

I used this kit to hide the wires for my wall mounted TV. The whole setup came out great. I had an electrician at my home doing other work, so I asked him to install this as well. Everything went so smoothly, I'm sure I could have done this myself. One thing we had in our favor was that there was already a power outlet mounted below the TV, so we only had to run the wire up the wall. We didn't have to cross any studs. I'm not sure I could have done it otherwise. My electrician didn't like the look of the mounting brackets for the non-powered plate, so he installed a real 1-gang box for that one. The one with the power outlet was easy enough to install and he used the included bracket. Just a few pointers: 1) Make sure the TV is big enough to hide the faceplate. The TV mount I used was fairly wide, so we had to butt right up against it to make sure it was hidden. 2) Get longer cables. Before the install, everything was connected with 6' HDMI cables. I needed a couple extra feet once it was in the wall. 3) Run all your cables at once. Going back to replace or add a cable is a hassle. 4) If you're using any composite cables, think about switching to HDMI. We were able to stuff a composite through the wall, but it was not fun. Overall it was easy to install and the finished setup looks great. Just plan ahead for things like wire length and location and you should have no problems.

Really enjoyed installing this. The fit was simple enough and the plug on the bottom was a real time saver. I've cut open walls in previous homes before to run wires for wall mounted TV's but this was even easier! Such a cool product and well designed -- though I did use my own, larger gauge, higher quality wire to use behind the wall. Now all my wires are hidden and it only took a few minutes to install (after cutting the holes).
