usb is slow and booting off a usb 2 device will be little if any improvement. improve old computer? replace old hard drive with SSD. that is easy to do. copy/clone old slow hard drive. this device is a gimmick. dont fall for it

You can get this much cheaper
Product is a flash drive which costs around ยฃ16 for the largest one.You can then add the Linux operating system yourself - its free - Google it.

It takes a bit of work but great results
First of all, in the description, it tells you this is a Linux-based Operating System. You have to follow the directions to get it to work. For us, it was a bit more complicated than described in the instructions. First of all the laptop we were working with had Windows 10. It was designed with a Secure Boot which had to be disabled before it would allow another operating system access. It took us awhile and If you are afraid of doing something wrong when working with computers, you will have problems. If you are good at following directions and asking Google when you get stuck, you will be able to figure it out. We are a couple in our 70's and 80's so if we can make it work so can you.

great idea but falls short of its promise
Xtra - PC Pro 64 bit is a really good idea--bootable linux OS on a flash drive--so u get the speed of linux --and it is fast. As it is an OS, you can run it on a system without a hard drive or instead of your regular OS. But that is the only claim that proved true.I bought it for flash media games, and while it does install flash on first use, the game never fully opened & the game site kept shutting down.I use Google chrome, which wouldn't install. Kept getting an error message "Wrong Architecture amd64". Xtra PC technical support sent me a detailed resolution to download and install chrome 32 bit. But chrome 32 bit is no longer available on Google or supported by Google. Thru research, I found tech articles dated 2016 stating google chrome would no longer offer or support chrome 32. Xtra PC tech support should have known this.My other issues with this OS were that flash wasn't working and the tech support link included in the system went nowhere altho it did seem to create a support ticket on my computer. Tech support did not respond to either of these issues even tho they were included in the same support email with the Google chrome issue. There are a number of YouTube tutorials to create your own linux OS on a flash drive. You might want to try that first. I paid $60+ for this flash drive that probably retails for $16.00 (it's a SanDisk) and an OS that is unusable. When I couldn't print the label for a refund, the seller, PrairieIT, emailed me a form to complete with an RMA that according to their document, does not guarantee a refund, and they claimed they would not have sent a label for return shipping, although Amazon clearly did.I paid an additional $9.00 to have it delivered early, which it wasn't. I had to contact the seller for a refund of the delivery charge, which they did refund quickly. That refund should have been automatic, as sellers know when their products are shipped & delivered. And they should really understand the Amazon refund procedure concerning return shipping labels.Bad purchase, unsatisfactory seller and an overpriced flash drive that I have since reformatted for backing up files. I decided against a refund because I don't trust PrairieIT enough to send them the USB with my network and personal info on it, and saw no way to return the drive to factory state.Linux OS, ubuntu, flavors, etc is open source software and completely free. Flash drives are cheap. Don't waste your time and $$$ on Xtra-PC Pro 64 bit.

Great seller, fast delivery, well secured package.
It is a flash drive, it has a big storage capacity, but over priced; you may get the same size for less than half of the listed price; you can save on it a lot of files; however, it doesn't work as promised, it has nothing to do with computer operating system or RAM and it doesn't revive a dead computer as featured, I don't recommend for fixing your struggling computer, and I will never buy it a gain, it is a flash drive for xtra storage only not xtra PC. The information on Youtube was misleading, and I felt somehow scammed!
