Needed to top off the refrigerant every year. It would last the whole summer. The leak got worse last year. It'd leak completely after a week. Without spending big money to hire a professional, the leak saver allows the top off to last the whole summer. Happy customer 🙂

THIS JUST SAVED ME $8,000. I have a 2002 Trane XR12 in Texas that's been slowly leaking R-22 for years. Every couple of summers, it would freeze over, and I'd have to get it topped off just to get through the heat. This year, the situation got worse. I called at least four HVAC companies. All of them either refused to top it off or insisted that stop leak products don't work. Instead, they pushed hard to sell me a brand new $8,000 system. Out of desperation, I tried Leak Saver. I used two units along with the injector tool, which cost about $130 total. I added it right after a fresh R-22 charge from a reclaimed independent source, which alone was nearly $300. The result? We are back to running ice cold. It has been weeks with no freezing, no leaks, and no issues. If I get six months out of this, it was absolutely worth it. I have seen other people say they are getting a few years, so I am hopeful. I will update if the leak comes back, but for now, I could not be happier. Leak Saver kept my old unit alive and saved me thousands. Definitely worth trying before replacing your whole HVAC.

It definitely slows a leak down a loy. I've used it 4 times so far and it definitely slowed the leak. I am finally going to get a new AC. It did make my ac not lose all the freon as fast as it was.

Customer service was really great. However the person said yes you can use it when it is set to heat, the instructions say you can not. Unit must be set to cool and you must run it for an hour, which didn't sound awesome when it was 40 outside! We'll be using these on different houses to act to protect the system
