Victorian Walking Stick Cobalt Blue Cut Glass Cane

The reviews on this product were mixed, but I was pleased to find that the cane surpassed all my expectations and matched the picture very well.Some have said the blue crystal felt like plastic; I disagree. It's remarkably heavy, very solid, and seems to be a solid piece of glass-- although I'm certainly not an expert so I can't promise it is. The crystal was a bit larger than I thought, to my delight, being about the size of my palm instead of the cabinet-knob sized piece I expected. (For better reference, its circumference is slightly greater than that of a soda can's top.) The cut makes it very comfortable to hold in the palm while in use, as well.The shaft of the cane seemed fairly solid, and about matched the circumference of a US silver dollar, tapering slightly at the end. It's fairly solid, enough that it's definitely functional as a proper walking stick (I leaned on it all night at the dance I used this for, and I'm not exactly light).It came in a long box, wrapped entirely in brown paper and a bubble-wrap envelope. I accidentally dropped it a couple times onto carpet and knocked it into something else once or twice. The cobalt glass head didn't even chip, and there were no visible marks on the shaft, so it's pretty durable.If you like the look of the pictures, you should like the product, especially since it's so reasonably priced compared to other walking sticks.

This walking stick is awesome! I purchased it to use as part of a Steampunk costume and it works perfectly for that.Some reviews state that it is not sturdy enough, but if you read the description it states, "Please note that this is a decorative walking stick not intended to fully support an adult as a walking aid." So it is not false advertising, although it feels very sturdy to me and for my height.Mine arrived well ahead of the anticipated receipt date so I am really happy about that. The "brass accents" appear to be silver although at the very bottom I can see a sliver of what looks to be the brass coloring. The wood of the cane is a really dark brown, almost black color and is very straight and all of the fittings are aligned correctly.The cobalt blue is a fantastic color and it is reminiscent of the old doorknobs of the 1930s. I am not well-versed in "cut glass" vs acrylic, some other reviews say that the handle is acrylic. I don't know if it is or not. I think it might be, but again, I'm not sure. I see "cut lines" on the flat portions of the knob that I don't remember seeing on my grandmother's doorknob when I was young.I am five feet tall and it is the perfect height for me and the "cut glass" is just the right size for my hand. It arrived undamaged and in excellent condition. I am very happy with this purchase.

It looks nice, but the first time I put it in my hands to try it out, the blue crystal popped off the top! Looks like somebody sloppily glued it on there in the first place. And to top it all off there are no returns for this product. Typical.I don’t often have problems with items I purchased off Amazon, but this definitely tops the list. DO NOT PURCHASE.

It is very sturdy and attractive, but the rubber top came off after only light use. There was a little left, and so it is still usable. When I got it, the tip already looked semi broken.

No joke, I've had young men scream at me from across the Atlanta airport on how cool this cane/walking stick is. Beautiful design and very unique. I highly recommend for costume and actual use.

When I think about performance I think about the height issue as well as the feel in my handI would say weight could be a little lighterPoorly put together connections wore out too quickly it was loose until I fixed it more than once this is based on the weight

Due to some foot surgery, I was in need of some canes and walking sticks. When I saw this one, I knew it would be perfect to go with a cobalt blue zoot suit I own. When I received it, I noticed it was solidly built and of high quality. It should make for a good accessory for the suit. Would definitely recommend. Not sure if it comes in other colors.

This is perfect theme cane. But not glass. It arrived with a bent in it, poorly packaged. It is a no refunds, no return Item unless damaged or defective. Bug seller was great they were hassle free to refund.. It is not glass but it is stunning resin of some type. Sturdy stick and rubber tip. Great for leaning on for just walking with. Very classic.
