Silpat The Original Perfect Brownie Mold

Finally used this, worked out great, the small cakes came out easily and simple clean up. I just use a wire rack under these to make it easy to move and keep good air flow around them.

Makes the perfect size scones. Provides support so they don’t spread out into blobs while baking. They get crisp on the outside. NOTHING sticks. Scones lift right out. Even sugar sprinkles wash right off. Worth the price as I can see it lasting forever. Because it’s so easy to use and clean and it makes perfect scones, I’ve been using using it weekly!

I purchased this because I love the idea of bite size brownies and I trust Silpat. It is great to make brownies out of and so easy to clean. Just make sure when you make them, put the mold onto some kind of cooling rack that can go into the oven safely, if not, you will have a huge mess in your oven. My brownies baked at same temperature and for the same amount of time as it would if I used a 9 inch square pan. Also, make sure that you put them in the oven once before use to burn off any residue, then clean with soap and water.

We are big fans of Silpat products in our household and when we discovered the mini loaf pan - we purchased immediately for making mini banana bread loafs, which are perfect for our toddler. Genuine Silpats are so durable and long lasting. I've own the baking mats for 10+ years. We love that they are non-stick so we don't have to scrub a pan or need to use grease for any recipe. We have noticed that for some recipes we need to reduce the baking time for a few minutes when using these, but otherwise no issues!

A working horse for my Banana Clouds (that's what we call the heavenly delightful banana breads I make in this mold). I've also repurposed many (but not all) 9" cakes and 9x5" loaf pan recipes for this mold without even changing recipe measures much. I admire the looks and functionality of individual serving loaves (see for yourself on photos). It bakes well (oven safe up to 480°F), but mind that it pretty much requires a perforated tray for good results. Silpat sells one separately and I'm not the biggest fan of it (it usually warps above 400°F, but can be straightened once cooled down), yet it helps so I use it for my under 400°F baking projects. Without a tray you would risk messing your recipe and may need to adjust baking times, and temperatures. The mold washes well (I do that soon after releasing slightly cooled baked products). Claimed to be dishwasher safe, but I chose to hand wash (requires some space to lay it flat in the sink to do this comfortably). I store the molds dried in their original packaging, stacking boxes flat upside down (as I have several molds akin to this).

This makes serving sizes so convenient and the lack of sticking and easy clean up make this a must have!

I like silpat stuff, I've never used any of their things I did not like. I purchased and returned this one, though, because it was pretty clear when I opened the box somebody had washed it in VERY heavily perfumed dishwasher detergent - it stank something awful. There was nothing wrong with the mat - but I guess someone returned it. Sad. I ended up ordering it from the maker.

I bought this mold to make a sandwich bread in as recommended by the recipe publisher. I have quite a few silpat products that I love and this one doesn’t disappoint either. I love that I can use it for things like making even small cakes for stacking, letting giant cinnamon rolls rise, individual sandwich rounds, etc. Clean up is easy - I just spray some dawn power foam on it and rinse.

I love baking in Silpat pans. I don’t have to prepare the pan & it’s quick & easy to clean. Although it’s quite expensive I feel it’s worth the price. The small loaves I cut in half to serve for morning tea.

These may be expensive but they are worth the money this one saves me time as I can bake mini loaves all at once and clean up is a breeze
