Good fruit snack but no so for sweet soup
I told my friends in the US that I grew up under a Longan tree. Longan (literally means “Dragon’ eye”) is a southeast Asian fruit tree that produces thousands of acorn-size fruits each season. Each fruit has a huge black seed (the “eye”) and intensely sweet pulp that is translucent and thin, kinda like Lychee. Dried Longan is prized in that part of the world is believed to have “warming” medicinal effects.I jumped on this opportunity to try this new product because I hadn’t tried dry Longan for a long time! In fact, I made a new batch of fermented sweet rice wine to go with it.This dry Longan is naturally sweet (it does not need any sweetener!). This dry Longan is not flattened like the traditional ones. As a result, it is great for snacking. It is not too hard nor too sticky. When cooked or heated in hot water, the dry fruit becomes slightly rehydrated. However, its flavor is not as intense as the traditional one. It’s rather bland. For that reason, this dry Longan is more suited for snacks.

Smokey smell
I eat Longan for many years. This is the first time that I brought from DAZO. Before I open the bottle, the color of Longan looked dark than I brought from another brand. The brand I brought in the past was not available now. Thus, I ordered from DAZO. When I opened it, the smoke smell came out. It’s not naturally dried for sure.I brought many products from DOZO. I am disappointed by this one indeed.

Not my favorite flavor or texture
These dried fruits sound good but I personally did not enjoy them very much. They had an odd texture and the taste was also not my favorite. If you dislike raisins you probably won't like these. Sometimes I like dried fruit and sometimes I really dislike it and this fruit just happens to fall into the dislike category.

Fresh, tasty Longan
If you are familiar with the taste of Longan then you will enjoy this dried variety. The flavor is very good and makes an excellent snack. I also add them to some of my baked goods. It is naturally dried, no sugar and has a nice woody, slightly sweet flavor that the Longan has. The quality is very good. The top of the bottle takes a bit of getting used to on how to get it on and off but once I figured it out it's no issue. This is a very good quality Longan. Would purchase again.

Yuck
The description for this says that it’s a very sweet drink, but when I made it, it tasted smoky and bitter. There was no sweetness to it at all. There were no instructions on how to make this, and I had to look it up online. This is a no for me.

Decent taste
I enjoyed the taste but it's better to be used in a hot drink than eaten directly. I'd recommend it but I don't think it's something I'd buy often.

Delicious. Health Snack. No Sugar Added.
Longan Fruit is one of my best favorite fruits. It is not often to see fresh Longan fruit selling in the local grocery store. The dried or canned Longan fruit would be the best alternative. The two bottles arrived in good condition. The cap of the plastic bottle is not easy to open , especially if you just put lotion on your hand. The bottle is well-sealed underneath the cap.The dried Longan fruit tastes pretty good, delicious and has a meaty texture. There is no sugar added, the sweetness comes naturally from the fruit. The manufacture date on the bottle is about 3 months ago and the expiration date is 2 years from the manufacture date. Hope the information is helpful.
