Office Star Deluxe Breathable ProGrid Seat and Back Folding Chair 2-Pack, Black Finish Frame

I bought these chairs to keep one at my apartment for an extra seat and the other at my fiancés house for when I work from home. I injured my tailbone years ago so I need to sit on a mesh bottom chair to be comfortable. These chairs are perfect, I feel supported and comfortable when I work throughout the day. I recommend buying these.

Great product.

These chairs appear great. They are wide in case I have large guests. They fold up tightly and pack away neatly when I don't need to use them. The mesh on back and bottom is comfortable and breathes. But it only took 2 months of irregular use before the back ripped off and spilled out staples on the chair and floor. I tried to put the mesh back, put the staples in place, and jam the rubber gasket to hold it. Two or three attempted fixes now, but it still pops out. The chair back won't hold and the gasket has sharp parts. The chair cannot be used anymore. I only use these chairs when my cat steals my office manager chair. I weigh less than half the weight these chairs support. Thankfully no guest was in the chair when it ejected staples. It came in a set of two so let's see how long the other one lasts.

I needed a folding chair to take with me on visits because my sciatica doesn't like couches or recliners. This chair was perfect. Easy to transport and supports me just right. Well built.

TLDR - I had high hopes for this product, especially as the company claimed they had a warranty. Instead I have two expensive pieces of junk, and a company that doesn’t stand by their product. Never again. I spent a lot of time searching for good quality chairs and I thought these would fit the bill. They were more money than I had intended to spend, but they seemed like they would last a long time. Nope! The back split in the corner on one chair during its first use. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt, I thought maybe it was just a lemon, so I contacted the company to ask about their warranty. While waiting to hear back, the same thing happened to the second chair - it ripped literally during its the second use! These chairs aren’t being used for anything crazy - simply a place to sit during art fairs. The most weight either chair had on it at any given time was 150-200lbs, well below their limit. They aren’t being tossed around, abused, or put to use in crazy conditions. They’re just chairs. I’ve noticed in the comments others have had a similar issue, so I don’t think it’s just a fluke that the two I got fell apart. To cap off this absolute waste of money, the company is dead silent on my issue. It took a bit of detective work to figure out how to even contact them. But I eventually found an email address and sent them photos of the problem and asked about the warranty. I’ve heard nothing from them since.

Sadly these are not at all as comfortable as the standard plastic perforated seat or the full mesh mighty lite plastic seat. Even at well below the weight limit you are basically sitting on the plastic perforations. The back is a little high but very springy and comfortable. With a cushion they'd be perfect- but then why pay that much for the chair. I'll be returning these. Shipping and packaging was excellent. It looks like Wayfair is currently selling the real Mighty Lite Mesh One chair. It's more money and only in a 4 pack...
