We have purchased three of these packs. All three are less than two years old and have the same issues with the rear zipper not being well designed and poor quality of the water bottle pockets. One of the backpacks has had a failure in one of the seams, which is a manufacturing issue. It appears that not enough material was gathered up and included in the seam prior to the seam being sewn. We use the packs for carrying rock climbing gear to and from the crags so they get used in pretty tough conditions and overall they have held up. We don’t really use the back access zipper on any of the packs because we tend to load the packs from the top, so the poor design of that zipper area is not a big deal for us. For someone who wanted to use that access zipper on a regular basis, it would be a pretty big hassle. I gave three stars because the packs are very inexpensive and so we did not expect much when we bought them. They have held up better than we expected. On the other hand, the zipper issue, poor quality of the water bottle pockets and blown seam prevent me from going any higher on the rating. I would say this is probably a good example of “you get what you pay for.” I created a video to go along with this review. The red pack has been used approximately 20 times, while the orange pack has been used about 15 times. The blue pack has been used about 10 times.

I found this pack for a really low $38 purchase price. My old North Face backpack has reached a worn out point that I needed to replace. I use my old NF back pack for a computer bag as well as for traveling as my typical carry on for flights. Now this is yet another Chinese made product and I like to buy made in America goods. This pack seems to be of solid construction all around, maybe I just got a good one as I see some reviews for cheap construction, problems at the seams, etc. I bought this specific pack because of the height of 25.6" - this is to carry our snorkeling gear that includes swim fins that are 24" in length. Last night I packed up all the snorkeling gear (2 sets), a test fit of 2 towels, snack stash, and 2 large water bottles - everything fit well with a touch of additional space for more stuff. The pack comes with so many 'straps' that I ended up cutting some off as I will never be using this for like back country hiking trips. I also got the pack all set up like I wanted and then trimmed the excessively long straps, sealing the ends with some flame to keep from frazzling. First trip with this new pack begins early tomorrow with an international flight, I will update this review following that trip, sharing performance and/or any issues with the pack. For a super cheap $38, the pack I received is really great, remembering you get what you pay for so we shall see how it performs and lasts.

I'm a big guy, planning on losing weight before trip, but to my surprise it fits now. For the price def recommend for casual trekkers/campers that don't want to invest in pricey gear.

It’s a nice backpack. Resistant to water and it has the rain protector. I wish that the back was more rigid.

It is a pretty good backpack, much cheaper than known brands. Quality seems pretty good. I like the design too, colours are nice. The only complain after one week of use is that the used webbing is too thin and slides easily through those plastic buckles. Because of it the straps have to be adjusted every so often. Now, that I know it, I'd still buy this pack, because the price is right.
