Excellent size, big enough to tackle bulky projects but the shape does great with smaller items, too. Made of quality solid oak, it looks as pretty as it is durable. The clappers are heavy enough to hold bulky stubborn seams down. Easy to use. Buy American, buy local, buy small business made

Quality and handmade
The tailors point and clappers are made from oak and super smooth so not to snag delicate fabric. The clappers make a huge difference on setting the seems after ironing.

High quality with smooth surface no varnish
Looking at the grain, I think the wood is oak. It takes dedication to polish oak to this smooth a finish. I don't think any part of this set will catch and pull delicate fabrics. I'm happy with this purchase-it will last forever.

Works better than using seam roll. and much much better for sharp corners
