Durable and perfect for 4ft fence.
These spikes worked great for a 4 ft wooden spaced fence. Make sure to use a scrap 4x4 piece to drop your sledge on to start off, and check for level as you go...

Fence post stakes
Very durable for my vertical fence project; will definitely consider again if I build another fence ! Used 4x4 post with sledge hammer to secure in the dirt. I did not need concrete.

These are sturdy and easy to use
I bought these anchors to erect a frame to suspend shade tarps over the garden and air conditioner. In southeast Texas it has been brutal on the air conditioner and the veggie garden. We put mesh garden shade tarps over both to help protect them from the brutal summer. I used these to place 4x4s, 8 feet long into soil made primarily of clay. I connected the 4x4s with 2x4 stringers at the top for support since we expected these to need to stand up to winds off the gulf and periodic thunderstorms we are known to get. We specifically selected these anchors because they could be disassembled by loosening two carriage bolts. We wanted that because we are in a hurricane prone area of Texas and wanted to be able to break the structure down quickly and easily while making storm preparations.Pros: these were easy to set up and install the lumber in once driven into the ground. They have proven sturdy, we went through several thunderstorms without removing the tarps and the posts have remained straight and strong.Cons: not many, and just knit picking, but these are a little challenging to install straight so the flat sides of my posts were aligned for 2x4 stringers to sit flush on the posts. I suspect this has more to do with rocks, roots, and debris in the ground than with the product. My second con is more frustrating. Not all of the anchors we bought had the carriage bolts included, or were missing one of the two. Have some extra hardware on hand if you want to get started right away. I did not reach out to the seller because I had the spare hardware in my garage and needed to start as fast as I could and waiting for a resolution and more shipping was less desirable than getting the shade tarps up.I agree with other reviewers that putting a small cut off of 4x4 into the anchor to use as a striking surface while sinking them is an effective method to drive them into dense soil without damaging them. I recommend bolting the scrap in before starting to drive them because the 4x4 pieces I was using split from the beating and tightening the bolts to hold the wood in kept it from falling apart and requiring more scraps be cut. I also recommend wetting the soil an hour or so before starting, to allow the water to soften the ground and give it time to soak in.For those who wondered, yes, the shade tarps in conjunction with a periodic misting system, helped to ease the burden our poor AC was feeling and saved the tomatoes which are now flowering and, hopefully, will produce a small fall crop. I would recommend these for anchoring posts. I may consider using the longer anchors if I were to do it again, but so far, these seem to be fine.

Easy to use
Easy to hammer into the ground, wet ground if it's too hard to hammer.
