Sakura Gelly Roll Pen Classic 05 08 10 White 6pc

The set includes 2 pine point, 2 medium point and 2 bold point pens for a total of 6. I tested the medium point over green & red colour pencils and also wrote with it on pink post-it and for both cases got sharp white ink on the scribbling I did.

It’s not as white as I thought it would be on top of other other dark colors but it’s better than all other white pens I’ve tried cause this one’s color actually shows up. I haven’t really played with it much but I like it so far.

I really wish they would remove the .5 from these packs cause let’s be real not a lot of people use it. But I love these pens so much grateful for highlighting colouring work.

Delivered in good quality and on time

All 6 pens work well. The ink is a nice opaque white, and flows fairly evenly. Glad I got these in the fine point 05 (0.3mm), great for detailed work. I tested all the pens on black 67lb card stock, and the white ink shows up beautifully. Ink dries quickly and does not smudge when dry. Overall, I like the performance of these pens, and this 6 pack for $11 is a great value. Recommended.

I am a professional illustrator and definitely recommend these pens. Although I render primarily in Photoshop and Illustrator, I am constantly sketching in toned sketchbooks and have found these pens work incredibly well for bright highlights. I also have done a few children's books in watercolor, and these gelly roll pens do a great job of laying a final highlight over other marks. They are definitely opaque enough. The only medium I have found they don't really work well with is prismacolor markers. Even when I would let the marker dry for a while, the white still seemed a little dull over the top of it. I guess the only negative thing I have to say about these pens is that occasionally they get a little gummy and i have to wipe the tip off with a paper towel, but honestly for the wonderful line quality and opacity that I typically get, that is only a minor complaint. I have used so many white pens and pencils and in the end find that my number one choice is the coveted gelly roll pen... So if you like strong, bright white lines to highlight and accentuate your drawings, this is the pen that I recommend.
