how do you use transfer .

Toner Transfer Paper is generally used as one step in a longer process to etch metal, most commonly to etch copper to make a circuit board or for various art projects. Etching metal has a learning curve so it is best to watch a few videos about the process so you can assemble the supplies needed to finish your project. I found the vendor for this product - Pulsar - had good information on their website. So search for Pulsar. Pulsar describes a hot method of transferring image to the metal, and they sell a laminator suitable for the process. But I suggest you look into a video describing "Cold Toner Transfer Method." Depending on your application, the cold method is cheap and reliable, doesn't require heat, and finger pressure is enough. But you may get a cleaner transfer with the laminator method. I found my household clothes iron simply was not adequate for a clean transfer. I like this paper because it has a sugar coating which dissolves in water after the toner has been transferred to metal. The paper backing slides right off leaving a clean transfer on the metal. As the toner can snag on the paper, destroying your image, this sugar-coated feature is a real bonus.

Can this be used for transfering pcb patterns onto copper board like press-n-peel?

I have used both and like this one better than press-n-peel. The transfer is much sharper, thin lines are perfect, no holes, no problem areas if you follow their directions for printer settings and transfer process exactly (I'm using the Tamerica SM-330 laminator rather than iron).My biggest problem with blue press-n-peel is that the paper deteriorates over time, if you store it for a year or so, the transfer results  are much worse. This is not an issue for this transfer paper.

How long and at what temperature should I keep it on the hot plate when transferring to silver? How do I know it has transferred?

PCBFX recommends running it through a laminator.  The main things are to achieve high pressure and around 300 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve the transfer, does not need to be left for a long time.

Yes I used it with a laminator! My laminator is a purple cow brand and it worked great I really ahered to the metal.
