Filter Removal Cups

GREAT GRIP!!I used this for a standard oil change on a Hyundai. It worked better than I expected.I suggest you know what you’re doing before someone talks you into changing your oil by yourself. You could make a huge mistake, mess, or even lose something worse than a screw if it isn’t your life than the people you may be working with. Safety comes first, and so should their products following.Experience starts with the experts.-

Here are the essentials I wish I'd known before purchase -Dimensions - Top Triangle: 4" each sideHeight: 3 1/2"Base Diameter: 2 1/2"Material Rigidity: FlaccidMy use-case for this was to possibly help remove, but definitely help drain an old-school 3 1/2" diameter filter. But that size filter will only go about 1 3/4" into this cup, which means it won't be as stable as I'd like while draining, unless I support it with another, firmer cup. The material is 1/10" thick, and flexible enough that it was shipped flattened in a padded envelope. I thought this would be like a container but it is more of a rubber sock.

I like the concept, but it doesn’t work as well as they are designed for. Most of the problem is because manufacturers put the oil filters in such tight locations that it’s very hard to use the tool on them.Compared to how many times I’ve tried to use it, it has worked as intended only a small percentage of the time.

I tried it at work on five oil changes that came in. The spin on filter has to point straight down which limits the application. The cup is super floppy so oil still spills around it, when oily the cup is very slippery. You have to hold the cup as oil drains into it but I don't have all day. This product just doesn't work for me.

Bought to change gas pump filters. Too small to hold filters. I am not sure what else I can use this product for.

Really like this silicone filter cup. No more burnt fingers, contains the dripping oil, helps grip the filter.
