Great for storing videogames
This shelf is great, I bought it to store all my games that I had in a box since forever. Now it is true that there are two rows with a short height... but that's not a problem since they are perfect for my Ds and GBA games. The assembly was fairly quick and the materials are sturdy enough to keep my games in a nice display.

Nice media cabinet - and guidance to make the doors work !!!
The Atlantic Windowpane Media Cabinet is well made, attractive, sturdy, features nice hardware, smooth sliding doors with tempered glass panes. This cabinet is functional, has plenty of storage space and looks great in my living room. Don't get fooled by the negative reviews that claim the doors don't fit. These folks have not discovered the little screw on the wheel assemblies that allows the adjustment of the height of the wheels relative to the door. You can adjust the wheel position easily by about 1/2 inch which makes everything fit together. The wheels are shipped in the fully retracted position - yes, in that mode the top guides on the doors do not meet the top rails. Once you adjust the wheels everything fits together. Well worth the money. I would definitely buy it again.

Mostly particle board and veneers, but a capable storage piece.
As others have stated, this is not solid wood furniture. This cabinet is particle board and veneers held together by wood dowels and short metal screws, not terrible, but not that sturdy either. Moving this around would require removing the contents of the cabinet or it will almost certainly spread apart, warp, or even just collapse altogether. The main body is the standard 'H' format used by most simple self-build kits, and as such relies on that center fixed shelf to align itself. A more solid foundation might be gained by using small dabs of wood glue when inserting the dowels, as the dowels in the unit I have were loose no matter which side I inserted them into. Additionally the metal screws did not pull all sides together evenly, which suggests some post assembly engineering is needed to firm it up. I experienced no troubles with the glass doors, yet they seem loose because of the uneven assembly of the main cabinet. In regards to capacity, CD's are the best commodity to store here, as the shelves are poorly spaced with the center fixed shelf making any arrangement awkward. I am generally pleased with the look and capacity, and will order more of this cabinet to get my collection off of open shelf units. I plan to use some glue and possibly different screws to hold the main cabinet together, and will edit this review when that is complete.

Wellmade product
The storage cabinet was very easy to assemble and it is very sturdy. I used it to store my CDs and DVDs but still had two shelves that did not fit into the cabinet after spacing the shelves out to accommodate my CDs and DVDs. Pleased with the purchase and love the finish. Sliding doors slide too easily, but I am okay with that. Delivery was on time and as advertised.

Cabinet is quite heavy, sturdy and a good value
This DVD cabinet is quite heavy and, as a result, is very sturdy. We have it on a hardwood floor and it doesn't wobble at all. We would add to the other comments that the DVD storage capacity could be improved if the manufacturer would re-position the shelf support holes. As it is currently, you can only use four of the six adjustable shelves if you're planning to use the case 100% for DVDs resulting in a lot of "empty" space that's not usable. You could lay some DVDs flat-side down in the empty space and pile them up I guess to store a few more. Kudos to the manufacturer for separating all the little screws, dowels and cams in separate plastic bags with clear identification in stead of one large bag with a hundred pieces. I would have given the case a 5-star review if not for a couple of nagging assembly issues. The first was that two pieces were mislabeled and, unfortunately it was the two that were used in Step 1. So while I'm trying to get used to the pictorial assembly instructions, it didn't help that I was trying to complete Step1 on the wrong piece. No wonder it didn't fit. And secondly, there are a number of tiny Phillips screws used in the assembly and the pre-drilled starter holes were not very deep. Not a problem if the screws were of the self-tapping variety. My forearm got tired trying to get these screws to bite and I had to resort to using a drill to create better starting holes for them. Otherwise, the assembly was straight-forward.

Attractive styling, but a flawed design
I like the overall look of this cabinet, but there is one major and another minor flaw. But first, I wish to debunk a complaint that I read in other reviews, specifically that the structure is not sturdy. This is just not true unless you try to stand it up without having assembled the back. I assembled it laying flat on carpeting, and it is the back that provides more than enough rigidity. I find the completely assembled unit quite stable on it "feet". Now the flaws: the holes for the shelf hardware on the inside of the sides are way too far apart, and with the center shelf immovable, much vertical space is wasted. this issue can be solved by anyone who is mildly handy. I just drilled another set of holes where I wanted the shelves ... problem solved! (Just take care not to drill through to the outside) However, the major flaw is that the sliding doors are designed such that about about three inches of the center of every are inaccessible, no matter the position of the doors. This is just dumb! These doors should have been hinged, not sliders. The shelves of my cabinet are quite full so I stuffed the center section of each shelf with a 4" wide spacer so I wouldn't have to fight to dig CDs or DVDs out of the center area. An even lesser issue is that the doors, though on wheels, don't slide smoothly. They don't stick or anything like that, it's just a mildly bumpy ride from left to right and vice versa. It feels cheap. But don't forget, it IS cheap. If you need really high quality, go find something for $500-600! It a really minor issue Overall the cabinet is very attractive if black fits into your decor and very affordable for its functionality. Just make sure you consider the drawbacks.

This product looks good, is very easy to assemble and what I appreciated the most were the little things. Like the notch in the back of the cabinet that lets you fit the backboard just right. The holes that were drilled in that backboard so you know exactly were to put in the Screws not the Nails so no more hitting your fingers with the hammer trying to hold down those nails . Finally the doors once installed fit just right and slid with ease. This is an excellent product.

I decided to purchase this item for my music cd collection being kept in sideboard drawers. As my collection grew the drawers became too heavy and awkward to manage. I spent months researching and decided on this storage unit. It arrived early and as advertised. This handy multi media cabinet helped me better organize and display my music in a way that allows me to enjoy my collection and quickly find the exact music I'm looking for. I am very pleased with my purchase and will gladly recommend this to both my family and friends.
