Westclox 47370 Quartz Analog Clock Black

Had one of these travel clocks for years until it stopped working. Had to get another. Product works perfectly! Love the increasing sounding alarm.

Audible ticking. Clock was on the other side of the bedroom (getting out of bed to turn alarm off eliminates temptation to fall back to sleep). The ticking was loud enough to keep me awake. I finally had to get out of bed and remove the battery to fall asleep. Alarm is wildly inaccurate. Goes off 30-45 minutes early. Useless.

I got this, after much shopping around, because people reviews kept saying how loud the alarm was, which is what I was searching for. I disagree. I don't find it to match the comments I read. I've kept it and use it. It's very simple to use. If you wear glasses, you will need them!! It's a great little clock, just not loud enough for me.

I first purchased this model about 25 years ago and it still works perfectly except for the alarm. To be fair, I probably knocked it off the bedside table one too many times. The replacement has very much the same look with very minor changes that do not affect the functionality. It is very travel-friendly and the tic-tic-tic is a comforting sleeping sound. JG

Good value - keeps good time, AA batteries last more than a year, pleasing low volume ticking, lume is weak but that's not a deal-breaker.

For travel, this is a great, portable clock, easy to set, whose alarm I'm sure works fine (I'm guilty of relying on technology to wake me up), with glow in the dark numbers and hands so it's easy to read even when it's dark.As for the ticking noise, I have yet to find any analog clock that I cannot hear at night, including wristwatches. If a little ticking doesn't bother you, or if it won't be right next to your ear, this clock is perfect for on-the-go time needs.

I don't want to start the day being jarred awake by a typical "alarm" clock. This clock wakes you with a soft chirp that gradually increases in intensity. You can hit the snooze. The snooze button activates the light if you want to check the time. Otherwise, the clock has no annoying light, no ticking, or humming sounds.Westclox, a formerly venerable American brand, is now made in China. I couldn't find a similar American product.

This clock is too tiny. I actually laughed when I opened the package because it looked like a toy.
