Saved my sanity
Seriously, I was losing my mind there for a second. But I’m sharing this incase anyone else is going through what I went through and are indecisive on getting this. I know I was. I’ve had this cat for 8 years. But a little over a year ago she started getting into this really bad habit of putting her paw under our bedroom door and shaking in the middle of the night asking for food. She has always been crazy about food but this was ridiculous. My solution was to spray her with water every time she did it but it didn’t stop her. We then moved to a different house and she stopped for a month or so. Then my wife gave birth to our daughter and shortly after she started doing it again except this time it put us on high alert because we were afraid it would wake the baby up. We tried everything. Water bottle didn’t work. There were nights she would wake us at 3 am, I would go out and spray her, then she would shake the door again at 4 am and again I would go out to spray her. This would continue on every hour until I woke up. Some nights I would leave some food for her to have at night but still she shook the door. Some nights I would give her food after she shook the door so she would leave us alone and she still would return to shake the doors hours later. I even got a self feeder so it would fill up on its own as she ate and she would still come shake the door asking for food. I would have to pick her up and take her to her bowl and she would start eating. Maybe it was because I had to move the bowl somewhere where our dogs wouldn’t get it she might have been confused but after doing this 3 weeks and she still couldn’t get the hint, it was driving me crazy. We even tried cat repellent and nothing. I ended up getting this mat and still I held off for about 2 weeks because I was worried I would shock her too much. And every night I just hoped she would stop but she never did. Finally I got the courage to do it and stick to it. That whole night I felt so bad, as if I was going to do something abusive to our cat but I had to see it through. And guess what? It worked! It takes about 2 to 3 second after something steps on it for the mat to go off. And the first night she was so stubborn that she did it 3 times until she finally gave up. It wasn’t until the 4th night that she had given up completely and now I sleep in peace! And I no longer fear the cat waking up our baby. I mean the cat woke us up more than our newborn did. It was ridiculous! I’m so glad I got this and if you’re hesitant on trying this then this is your sign to try it. Try it and you’ll be glad you did.

Would not recommend
We bought this is January and it’s already broken. I have several complaints.1. Most importantly, the attachments for the 9volt battery came off with the old battery, rendering it useless. I now have to buy a new one. The battery only lasted a couple weeks as it needed to be in constantly in my house to keep my dog from jumping up on a gate. I spent a lot of money on batteries.2. When it was on and set, it was inconsistent. There were many many times my dogs would stand on it and nothing would happen.3. The shock was too strong. My toddler got in that room and walked across it and absolutely lost her shit. Also, I have stepped on it and thought it hurt. It should be a little lighter.4. The only way to turn it on and off is by manually using the switch on the mat, if you have the mat in a hard to reach place, that can be inconvenient

Hurts very much!
I purchased another one first, for our sofa. Great item and correction was gentle and way enough, even for big dogs. Decided on getting a smaller one for kitchen counter. Big mistake! I thought I was purchasing from the same company but this one hurts very much. I accidentally touched it a couple times and oh my! So no way this bad bad item is staying in my house. My naught lab needs to learn, not to be electrocuted. Do not consider this item. Either mine has a serious defect, or well, this is plain dangerous. I can’t even return as I trashed the box because I was so confident it was the same item. Don’t do the same mistake! Get the other brand, where you can control the strength. This one, you can’t and it’s insanity.

The only product that has stopped the pee madness
I have bought ALL of the products to get our sweet Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat to stop peeing outside of his litter box. This is the ONLY thing that has gotten him to stop! Con: Now the battery doesn't connect well unless you take some cardboard to jam in the battery well (plastic thing) to make the battery connect. Easy fix!If you have kids beware that your oldest might try to get your youngest to step on it... personal note aside. Great product for price and it does its job wonderfully.

Sorry kitty 🤷🏽♀️
I bought these to keep my cats from scratching at my new wallpaper. Don’t worry I tested it myself and it is just a light zap. Nothing that will hurt your pet. You can set it up to make a beeping noise and now shock, or just a beep, or just a shock with no beep. It takes a 9V battery not included. It is a great value. Make sure you measure where you plan to put these so that they fit. There are lots of sizes. It is very easy to assemble just pop in the battery and you’re good to go!

Really not impressed with this one.
it works. It makes an audible sound, then it shocks, but the shock is so light you can barely feel it the cat still climb on the back of my couch. They are still eating my blinds. The batteries don’t last more than 30 days when left on continuously and if you don’t leave it on continuously, it don’t work.

Scat mat
Works very well. We need to keep two cats separated as one has FIV. This mat worked first time...even for the most persistent Siamese cat. He's been shocked twice, I guess he had to check a second time to see if he could get past ... he's never tried again. He sits about a foot away and just looks around. Perfect for us.

No siempre funciona

Absolutely amazing
Used to get my cat to stop scratching my daughters bedroom door to shreds. used for 3 nights and now cat doesn’t go near the door at all. It was an amazing turn around . I also felt the Matt myself and it is not harming.

Didn’t work for long
Purchased in September and by November has stopped working right. We usually only put the mat on the counter at night ( when our cat likes to go take a counter tour). It has now started going off on its own and not stopping in the middle of the night. Changed the battery twice and it is still randomly going off. Not a fun way to wake up in the middle of the night. So not impressed. The Matt idea is great. This brand is not. Do not buy this one. Waste of your money.
