Taming Tigers: Do things you never thought you could

A great kick up the arse to take the reigns of your own life and stop giving power to lame excuses.
I've had this book for a while and put off reading it thinking it was going to be about horse riding after reading the blurb, for which I have no interest. How wrong I was. This has been one of the most engaging personal development books I've read (and there are many) and serves well to hold you accountable to chasing your goals if you read it mindfully. The author doesn't hammer on excessively about his own achievements as is so common from more ego-driven authors, merely uses them to illustrate his personal success from using his 10 rules. Something that is arguably necessary in justifying credibility but has been done so tastefully and in balance to other ambassadors of his methods.Don't make the mistake I did of thinking this book will be unrelatable if you've no interest in horses or freediving, it is about neither. Just a great kick up the arse to take the reigns of your own life and stop giving power to lame excuses.

More than just another inspirational book
Jim Lawless has been there and done it. He's tested his principles in 2 major challenges. I've read tons of so called inspirational books but this one goes the extra mile (if not 1000 miles). Sometimes, I have read a good book and thought that I'd like to re-read it again a few years later. With this one, as soon as I finished it, I went right back to page 1 and started again as there was so much great stuff to take in. This book should be compulsory reading in every high school.

Providing your up for it, this book could change your life.
I have read many books to do with changing the way you think, dealing with depression and how to deal with problems. This book is very honest and pragmatic and does not promise the world. It teaches you how to deal with your fears (those tigers) and how to get out of the mental rut that so many of us are in. This book explains that even if you do not achieve your dreams, by following its ten rules, you will have moved on and will be able to deal with life in a much more positive and effective way. I feel as if a 'cranial cataract' has been removed from my brain. I thoroughly recommend it.

Great book but condition poor!
Bought second-hand & arrived with a weird odour & visibly dirty. Had to clean it. Otherwise intact.

Excellent Read
You don’t have to do something out of the ordinary - like becoming a jockey in a year, or breaking the UK Free Diving record - to benefit from knowing how to tame your tigers, we all can learn how to write our stories by enjoying this fabulous book and the lessons therein.
