This is their old formula and is difficult to find. The one I've seen is stores is a new formula with way different ingredients.

Does this shampoo gradually lighten hair?

I have been gray for years, so really can't say for sure, but it is a very gentle shampoo. I have very fine hair that dries out easily with any harsh product. I have used this shampoo for years and my hair is in great shape.

I used to do the curly girl method but my hair was a clumpy mess. Actually washing at least once a week, conditioning, and leave in-conditioner OR plant based gel freed my curls and my scalp is clean, not clogged with sebum. This shampoo is one that I rotate along with Biolage, Prell, and VO5 Kiwi. Sulfates aren’t bad
