Very good quality external dvd drive. Working as described. I can play my years old dvd and cds and also I backup my files. It's very easy to use.

This package lacks drivers, but DVD writer is very good and works well. No compatibility issues

My new laptop did not come with an optical drive. This HP external drive is a perfect addition. I subtracted 1 star because the shipping box was torn open when I received it. Did I mention that the price of this drive on Amazon is about 1/3 of the price on the HP website.
