Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Flow- 120mm High Air Flow Black Case Fan, Computer Cases CPU Coolers and Radiators

Item: 8X Cooler Master MasterFan Pro 120 Air Flow- 120mm High Air Flow Black Case FanI wanted to like these fans. At a constant speed they seem fine. I did experiment with the switch to try to the other 2 speeds and determined they were too low for my needs, so I left them all set to max. Besides, I am letting my motherboard control the fans, so their speed varies. They have lots of soft (rubber) built into the mounting flange. This actually makes over tightening a potential issue. Unfortunately I have experienced a lot of vibration (rattling) noise as the fans transition thru certain speeds. I bought 8 and needed 6 but have already replaced 2 that were very noisy at certain rpms. Fan hum is one thing, you expect it, you live with it ... these fans are fairly quiet. But a rattling sound from a fan with so much rubber in the mount is not what I expected. I have tried adjusting the mounting of each fan to see if stress or tension is the problem but so far that seems to have little effect. Most of the time my system is quiet, but every once in a while when under load and the fans speed up, I still get a rattle from 1 or 2 fans. Unplugging the fans and repeating the load cycle, everything is quite. So its not cpu, gpu or ps fans ... that leaves only these case fans.To be fair: I can say that at max rpm without adjusting rpm I had no issues with these fans.

They are alright but they won't work with a fan splitter such as the Silverstone PWM Fan 1:3 splitter. I build a ton of hardware (it's my job) and use the Silverstone ML07 case and Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming motherboard. The board is great but only has one system fan connector so I split this connector to add the three 120MM fans I need for cooling.I have built about 10 systems and have always used the Coolermaster JetFlo 120's without issue. I thought I'd give the masterfan pro a try and ordered three. They run fine if two of the three connectors are used (doesn't matter which, the 4 pin or the 3 pin) but as soon as you add ANY third fan they spin cycle where they power up and back down repeatedly. I replaced the splitter cable and the fans and the problem is definitely the Masterfan Pro. I need flow so I set all three fans to "performance" which is still less volume than the JetFlo anyway.Time is money in my business so I'm not willing to return and try another set. The JetFlo is good enough so why change. If Cooler Mater reads this, why are the JetFlo 120 fans more expensive WITHOUT OUT the LED's? That doesn't really make sense.

Works fine and moves a lot of air but the leads are too short to reach the fan plugs on my Asus board. Most other brands have leads more than long enough to reach without having to drop everything and order more parts.

Installed easily and Works very well in a case purchased thru Amazon.

This fan has a very short cable. Also, when moving the switch on the back to change modes, it is extremely delicate (Mine broke during the first cycle). I have a replacement fan on the way right now. Also, there is no arrow on the case indicating airflow direction.

Well Done Cooler Master run This Fan on My Haf X Case With Other 2 MasterFan Pro 140 Air Flow these 3 Fans Gave Me an Excellent Cooling Like Water Cooling temperature and they Make My Graphic Card Run So Cool and smooth

They're not the quietest but I still barely notice them. They look nice and were very easy to install and hookup.

This is a great fan. Can be a little noisy at full speed but i can zone it out if it's at a constant speed

Works fine until the bearing makes a horrible rattling/grinding noise just after the window of which amazon would be able to assist me. At least my PC is cool and 50 times louder, yes these fans are loud but this noise start out of the box, just long enough for me to have to wait on CM's rma process (PS still waiting for a replacement part for another order but I can't blame Amazon for CM's crap on that one.)

Got this as it has built in 3 speed selector.Only thing is the installation screws provided are way too short.
