I actually used this for another purpose. I used 2 to mount my Krazy Beaver shovel to the side of my roof top tent. Super sturdy and because it’s aluminum, will never rust.

I'm using this clamp to mount a lightweight dmx transceiver horizontally to a light tree. I store the transceiver with the clamp attached making it quick to mount the unit to the tree. It fits my needs perfectly and I'm ordering another one. It costs about 2x a regular O clamp so I recommend getting this type only if it only if your situation calls for quick on/off solution.
