Great basic headboard
Super easy to assemble - I’m a 5’6”, 130lb woman and was able to put it together myself just fine. Love that you don’t need much more than an allen wrench and a Phillips and boom. Only complaint is I wish it was a bit taller, but that’s one me for not paying attention to the given assembled height when I ordered it to attach to an 18” platform frame. It still looks great and serves its purpose, the little shelf is just a bonus to sit the remote or a drink on.

Great value
I was very impressed! The wood was nice and solid and it was pretty easy to put together, it may have helped a bit more of the letters were more visible but otherwise it was an easy task. The only issue I had is that I needed to do some doctoring to make it fit my bed frame. I guess it was meant a specific frame but still this wasnt a big issue. Overall I am quite satisfied because the product itself is great.

Very damanged
The whole top part of the frame was scraped and chipped. And who is going to go through the trouble of returning this piece of junk? I had to smooth out the chipped part as best I could. Do not spend your money on this junk.

What I wanted.
I'm using it as a sideboard and the width and height are perfect. Assembled, screwed into my bedframe (wooden* platform bed), the hardware store but down two boards to match the height, screwed those in, screwed on the sisal rug mat for the cat and her new scratcher.I like the inside has a little ledge. I can rest my phone there, a hard seltzer. It's black. I'm pleased.

Doesn't fit the South Shore storage bed frame we got
The design is decent enough, and we got it to go with another South Shore item, however none of the holes lined up and some holes are now exposed. Also, some of the pieces that adjoin together don't have any support or fasteners to connect, so I can see the edge of particle board. I would call this a design flaw. It looks ok, and it's for my teenage boy, so he doesn't care about this stuff. At least it was affordable.

Looks very nice, not all the holes are measured or lined up correctly
We bought this hoping it would work with our cheap Ikea frame. It didn't. So what could have been a simple project turned into two trips to Lowe's and quite an in depth construction experiment. However, that was entirely our fault for not making sure this would work with our bed frame, so I don't think it's fair to dock the head board for that. I just wanted to mention it for anyone else who might be wondering. This head board and our stuff from Lowe's still ended up being cheaper than almost any other head board I could find. Plus I love the look of this one and all the other similar styles I saw were way out of my price range. The head board itself was pretty easy to assemble (except two things that I discuss below). There was an amusing page in the instructions that I included a picture of here that we didn't really understand. Maybe it means "read the instructions, get two people, get a happy screw driver (not electric), lay out the pieces, then turn on music and start construction"? I honestly don't know what this little map was meant to communicate, but it made me smile.I do want to note that not all the predrilled holes lined up or were measured correctly and that is why I took off a star. I tried to take pictures, but I don't think they do it justice. It was an extremely cheap headboard though and it seems obvious that, in this instance, we got what we paid for.The first issue we had was a small one. The holes where you screw that little black plastic "L" piece were crooked. So one of the screws had to go in at an angle. The second one was a much bigger issue. You know those little metal turn things? There's little holes for them predrilled in the wood and then you insert a screw on another side of the wood and turn the little metal thing and then the screw stays in? Well the holes for a few of those didn't line up. So when we'd turn the metal piece the screw didn't meet up with it and therefore just fell out. We tried it so many ways, but ultimately just grabbed our drill and had to fix it ourselves. However because it wasn't quite lined up the screw didn't stick out of the wood as far as it should have. So even though we got the screw to stay in because it then could meet up with the little metal piece that turned it messed other things up. We found ways around all of this, but it was irritating and made our already complicated project much more complicated. We were already so deep into building this head board by the time we discovered this pretty big issue that there was no way on earth we were going to disassemble it and return it. So if you order this I wold honestly test out all your pieces and make sure everything lines up before you actually start to assemble it. Because if you have an issue this big you'll just be able to return it without too much trouble.

Not too shabby :)
It’s exactly as described. It didn’t line up with my son’s standard bed frame, but we were able to go to HD and get better screws and washers. This is for my 15yo son and he was able to put it together fairly fast. It’s survived his antics so far. They have the same one at Walmart, but amazon’s price was better and faster shipping.
