I bought this book for my eighth grader to help drive home certain concepts necessary for algebraMy child struggles with speed and this book helps to zero in on single conceptsFor my child practice is essential in developing speed when working on more complex problemsThe goal of this book is to drive home the basics so that they can work through those concepts more easily in more complex problems in schoolThis book has helped me because th school text books don’t have enough practice problems that are simple and to the pointI also like that the solutions in this book show all steps and not just the final answerI recommend this book if your child needs help with math

My child like her math

I bought this as a refresher for a class I needed to retake. There are plenty of problems to solve but there could stand to be more descriptions on how to solve available.

I have experience with math in college but hadn't used many of these concepts in a while with the exception of simple medical calculations. I decided to further my education in mathematics and statistics for use in public health and needed a refresher in many different math concepts before I started some of these classes. I plan on getting the author's other work books as well. I found this book after buying one of the author's puzzle books and enjoying it.

I have been out of school for nearly twenty years. I have finally decided to go back to college, but was having trouble remembering algebra. This book has been a tremendous help in refreshing my memory and getting me back on track. If you’re learning it for the first time, or like me, need a little help remembering how to do it — this is the perfect book for that!

This workbook goes through a number of basic algebra skills. Most of the book is dedicated to the dozens of exercises for each topic. There's a handful of examples worked in-depth at the beginning of each chapter.The exercises themselves are worked through from start to finish, but without the explanations found in the examples.This is a *really* good workbook. Everything is explained clearly, as briefly as possible.

This book is just math problems, no explanation how to do them. Not good for someone who has never done algebra.
