Excellent product; easy to use; great visibility; simple. We are getting too carried away with technology nowadays. I am not sure who buys those ultimate, programmable thermostats that are becoming ubiquitous. Not being able to foresee the future and know what the weather will be next Thursday evening, I kind of like the ability to easily change the settings on my thermostat, without difficulty and quickly. I can adjust the setting and change from heat to AC in about 2 seconds, max, with this product. With the confusing and complicated programmable thermostats (read expensive) on the market, it takes close to a minute and then you find hours later that you missed a step in the algorithm and need to go back and reprogram it again. Another positive in favor of this product is the clear visibility of the screen. The combination of black numbers on a very light grey screen, is great for those of us with less than perfect vision. The backlit screen lights up as soon as you touch the buttons. I have three of these thermostats and each of them took no more than 20 minutes to install. You will need a tiny screwdriver and probably a pair of small needle nosed pliers.

This digital thermostat replaced my "analog type" thermostat.My (previous) "analog type" thermostat had an internal metal coil which I found to be very inaccurate.I find this digital thermostat to be much more accurate.Its measurement and display of the current temperature is more accurate.The temperature (when my furnace turns on and off) is more accurate.- - - -This digital thermostat has a CALIBRATION featureallowing me to displace the current room temperature up/down (a maximum of) four degrees.I had to adjust the "current room temperature" display, down four degrees.Meaning; Without this CALIBRATION adjustment,this digital thermostat showed 74 degrees when my room was actually 70 degrees.See page eight of the "Operation Manual - 701" > CALIBRATION Setting.This "CALIBRATION Setting" is very useful.- - - -Operation Note: This thermostat's digital display has very helpful backlighting.The first time you press the Up or Down button,the backlighting turns on.Then press the Up or Down button (again) to make temperature (or other) adjustments.After about ten seconds (of no usage), the backlighting will automatically turn off.- - - -Note: I only use this thermostat for heat (on/off).Not for fan control. Not for cooling.I have a 2022, single stage furnace (used for heat only).My 2022 furnace has a (contemporary) digital controller/display.

Replaced my Surburban heat only 2 wire manual thermostat in my RV with this digital thermostat. What a game changer. I now have more control of the inside temperature settings and the propane heater doesn't cycle on and off as often. Plus this thermostat is battery operated and does not require a wired power source to operate.I looked at higher-end RV thermostats and decided to take a chance on this one.This thermostat is an excellent value, nice looking and works flawlessly in my RV. What's not to like?

Nice upgrade to my dated thermostat without going to one of those that the power company or government can control. Only knock I have is once the batteries got low on power, the heater wasn't coming on and the battery indicator light wasn't showing low battery. Luckily it was one of the first things I tried and as soon as I put new batteries in (2 AAA) the heater fired right up.

A 10-minute install per thermostat, so easy - just matched my current wires and now those 25+ year-old beige blocks are nevermore! For this price and ease of install, you can't beat these.

I recently got a new furnace and decided to put a new thermostat on the wall too. I like this black one with a large readout. And it lights up at night so you can see what your temperature is

We have several of the same thermostat in our home but the white version. Wanted to swap out for black in one room. Installed and it just didn’t work. Wouldn’t kick the furnace on despite the temp getting super low. Uninstalled and reinstalled our original and it was fine. Garbage.

Expensive and took a long time to be delivered, but seems to be working well so far.
