Ingenious product for endless creativity and fun
The instructions for this product are very simple but it took me quite a while to get round to testing it because it says you have to use water at 66 degrees C and I didn’t really know how hot that was off the top of my head. So I got out my meat thermometer to make sure my water was exactly 66 degrees.(It turns out that 66 is not so hot that you can’t bear to put your finger into it but hot enough that you wouldn’t want to leave it in there for more than a couple of seconds - so best not to do this with very young children unsupervised.)You put your hot water into a bowl and then top of spoon in some of the little plastic balls and leave them for two minutes. The balls start off white but turn transparent as they heat up which means you’ve got a handy, obvious cue to tell you when they’re ready to use.You take the warm plastic balls out and they are all soft and malleable meaning you can mould them to whatever shape you want (in this state they feel slightly sticky to the touch but don’t actually stick to anything). Then as the plastic begins to cool, it begins to harden and also return to white. Eventually, you have your model in solid, white plastic. Awesome! And it says, though I haven’t tried this yet, that if you put your model back into the hot water, it softens again and you can remould it.A really ingenious product. Really good fun for kids (and adults, even if my model is rather crudely shaped) and gives lots of opportunities for exercise of the imagination and creativity.

Quite good fun
You literally receive a tub of white plastic balls with some brief instructions stuck to the side of the tub. The first time we followed the instructions on the tub and it didn’t work at all well the white balls just stuck together in a hard solid lump and couldn’t be moulded at all. However, when I looked back at the online instructions on this site it mentions that the balls should be removed from the water when they start going transparent so we tried again and what a difference it was much easier to mould and shape and then became quite fun making different shapes. The plastic can also be easily refused by just melting it down again in warm water. However, this is a fun product to use with kids I don’t think it is suitable for precision shapes.

Useful and reusable
Perfect for making stands for my plant pots. Quite easy to use and lightweight. I gave only 4* because the amount provided isn't much for almost £17

Difficult to mould, Short Work time and Hard to Cut
I don't think this product is very useful at all. It is very difficult to mould into shape, it goes off very quickly and soon is too hard to cut. It can't be cut at all with a craft knife. scissors are better but struggle. It sets to a very hard plastic but I just can't find any use for it. It will pick up fine detail if using it to make a mould and works quite well pressed into a mould as long as it is fairly basic in shape. I tried it in a butterfly mould and it was quite successful but impossible to trim nicely. It is not at all suitable for children as the working time is so short and, of course, it is quite hot when it first exists the hot water. I found the easiest way to get the exact temperature was to heat the water above the required 66 degrees C or 150 F and allow it to cool, monitoring with a digital thermometer. Even following the instructions to the letter, there are some beads that do not melt properly. I shall keep playing with it to see if more practice will get better results. As it stands, I wouldn't recommend it.

Grown up play dough
Water must be higher than 66, obviously if using this with children you must supervise them with the hot water and use tongs to remove from the water. You know if the water is hot enough as the beads become transparent and gel together.I would say you have a short time span to use the mouldable beads before they start to harden so do bear this in mind, once they harden they return to their white colour.Once moulded you can paint them or keep them and reuse them so great value for money.Look great if you add some colour to the beads before heating up, my son added some very small plastic beads for a bit of variety and just made it more appealing to the eyes.Hours of fun can be ahd with these, mould paint and re use

Works nicely
Honestly, I can’t think of a complaint for these plastic modelling beads.I’m a real big fan of sculpting, but I’ve always been nervous not to mess up. Air dry clay has a limited time frame and often a lot of cracking, and polymer clay is kind of pricey…. This was a great solution! You get a good amount for what you pay - definitely enough to make quite a few smaller projects. If you make mistakes or want to “edit”, it’s super easy to just melt it back down, meaning there’s no real worries about waste.Obviously, it takes a little practise to get the technique down since it’s not clay, but it’s great fun to play about with anyway!

Great for kids
This has been really fun for me and my kids. It’s really easy to use and safe. Also when they make something daft, it’s easy to reuse it and start again. Just melt it!We really enjoyed it and I recommend you try it if you have not already. This is quite a big jar and should be enough for a few people to have a go. As we found you just reuse it anyway so you don’t really need that much more.

Impressive material, easy to mold and resistant.
What a great material that I never heard before! It was super easy to use. I put it on the water at 66C and in seconds it was all transparent and ready to use. As soon as I took it out of the water it was comfortable to hold with my bare handsGet a thermometer, it helps to get on the right temp. If hotter, it won't affect the product but will be harder to hold and modeling. So a cheap thermometer will do the job.You have a considerable amount of time to work with it before and becomes solid again, and it is easy to see when that happens as it turns white again.Loved this product, cost-efficient, easy to use and resistant.
