MINKA-AIRE F845-DK Light Wave 44" Ceiling Fan with LED Light in Distressed Koa with Remote and Additional Wall Control

I started with one of these and loved it so much, I ordered 3 more for two other bedrooms and our kitchen. They are solid quality. When I asked our electrician to install the first one, he thought it was a just a run-of-the-mill fan. He was very impressed by the quality and the look of the fan. I love that the light is enclosed so dust doesn’t get inside. I love the Koa wood - gives it a very modern and sleek look. We are using the remote controls on the wall instead of wiring into the switch. Works great. The fan moves air like nobody’s business. Way more air movement than the old fans that were bigger and clunkier! They are also super quiet. Don’t hesitate to buy one.

Great looking fan with a super quiet motor (which is pretty important for a bedroom) and a dimmable light. The wood design adds warmth to the room. A few of the other buyers seem not to like the way in which the light is dimmed, but I have no problem with it. Installation was an easy, one-person process; simply follow the enclosed instructions. Its size, relative to the room, provides the ideal air flow, and the remote control is handy to have at bedside. What’s equally impressive is their customer service. Originally, we had problems turning the light on and off from the wall-mounted switch. When I emailed the manufacturer, a representative immediately responded (over the weekend, no less!) with the correct diagnosis and letting me know that they were sending a new switch. By Wednesday, we had the new switch installed and the issue resolved. I would definitely recommend this fan and any other Minka-Aire products.

Recently purchased this fan (distressed koa) for a bedroom. Installation was easy and the fan worked so well that we purchased a second fan in white for the office. Fans are beautiful and we get multiple compliments on them. We have 3 Minka-Aire fans in total. Remotes can be programmed on different frequencies so they do not interfere with each other. Fan blades come weighed and balanced so the fans are extremely quite even on higher speeds. LED light is bright and lights the room well. LED light is also dimmable and adjusts to your preference. Happy with the purchase. Would purchase again.

This fan is quiet and looks fabulous. It made a huge difference keeping the first floor cool over the summer. The AC didn’t come on as often. We will be purchasing another soon

I originally left a bad review because I bought 4 of these and after a few days the wall controls on all of them stopped working properly. I called customer support who helped me through the issue. It turns out our electrician never set the frequency for the wall controls. Our fans were interfering with each other. After setting different frequencies for each controller, they work fine

The fan looked nice assembled, but had a major flaw that rendered it unable to be installed. If you are going from a regular fan to a fan with a receiver (which is this fan), then you need to ensure that the junction box size matches the ceiling bracket. This bracket is bigger than normal to accommodate the receiver that you will install to connect the fan to the power supply.

This brand is always our go to. Nice fans, good quality and easy to install.

While we love this fan, the light switch has never worked properly since installation. You turn it on and then when you try to turn it off, it turns back on, repeatedly. When trying to get support here through Amazon, you only get options of things to try. There is no option for support from Minka-Aire.

emits loud hum & makes rubbing sound while rotating. Seller promised several months ago to send a replacement. So far nothing.
