Mont Marte Modelling Paste 500ml – White – Ideal for 3D effects – Suitable for Acrylic Painting and Oil Painting – Texture Paste for Canvas

I don't use this for normal painting , i use it as a surface on 1/35 scale model houses , it gives a plastered look. As such its excellent , thick white cream texture which you can build up in layers if needed , use a spatula / pallet knife to smooth .. i like a few lines in it to add real world look of plaster . Drying times when used thick is at least 24 hrs but it can be painted on after that . So far im barely through half a pot on X4 models but on a canvas you would probably get through it a lot quicker . Think of it as liquid plaster of Paris and your not far out on what its like when dried .

This stuff is class, first impressions it looked a small size but it goes a long way. It so simple to use and just glides across the canvas. Big thumbs up from me. I used with acrylics and oils and both worked well. Value for money is good, although if I had to pick, I’d probably say the portion is a bit small.

Lovely. Very soft and creamy yet keep the peaks and troughs that I wanted on my canvas. I’m not sure how well it would work for a more solid creation, but to create texture on a canvas, it’s ideal.

Works well. Drys fast. Easy to work with .

Used it on a recent oil painting as a base. Added some grit for a rugged texture. Dries quick and seems very good

It’s not thick at all and I found it quite hard to use for what I need it for if you’re looking for a thick paste don’t get this one

Great value for money, so happy with the product and the way you can build it up. It’s thick and pure white as advertised, you can mix it with your acrylics or use on its own. I’m using it for some textural paintings and it looks fantastic!
