First Impressions
First impression is 'wow, this thing is long!!!''. So far so good. The blade comes safetied so minor adjustment would be needed to use the unit. The head seems to be a little wobbly so I was looking for an instruction manual. I'll post back if I find one along with other updates.I obtained the unit to cut window tint long enough to be placed onto mirrors. To change the blade, one must remove the plastic guard, unscrew the middle screw and then tilt the unit allowing the blade to slide upward with the help of a thumb. Length is adjustable for the screws main purpose is to hold the box cutter blade in by friction. There are other items on the head that I have no idea what they are for yet. As I figure them out, I'll post back. Took about a week to receive the unit. The unit came well protected. One thing I did add was better bumper guards at the end of the unit. This is because i am clumsy and I am sure hat at some point I will tilt the unit in one direction allowing the head to go crashing forth and by adding the bumper hopefully mitigates anything that may happen.---Follow up---The instruction manual is included in a plastic bag along with the 10 pack of box cutter blades. It's just a mini card. But the head is fairly simple to take apart so one probably doesn't need the instruction manual. To tighten the head one has to remove the middle thick screw which is in the top part of the head will then come right off. This will allow access to the two screws which allows you to tighten the base of the head. You can tighten the base to the point where the unit won't move at.There are two metal plates that become accessible once the top part of the head is removed. These plates act as a spring for when you push the top down the blade cuts as you let go the head will position back into neutral. I removed one of the plates to make it easier for me to push down on the head to engage the blade.I went and obtained a wooden plank from Home Depot as a bottom part of the cutting board. The mistakes that I made was to not cut a groove for the blade to move in. To cup up against a material creates unnecessary sway. The reason is because the blade will want to travel in a direction unless it's perfectly parallel with the head movement it's going to want to travel in that direction. As it cuts the material the blade won't move and the cut will be straight. But if you're cutting into something that is not movable such as the wood that I was using for the cutting board then I will get minor discrepancies in the cut ultimately not being a perfectly straight line. By carving out a groove And by tightening the head the unit now provides a perfect straight line.My suggestion that when you cut do not cut against any material except for what you plan to cut. It's a box cutter should be fairly sharp should be able to cut the materials without having to scissor against another material to perform the cut.One may wish to invest in a little bit of dry lubricant for the head movement. Especially if one tightens the head. To reduce wear and tear on the track bars use a silicone-based dry lubricant. It's also helps to prevent contamination from oil-based products.Ultimately this unit rocks. The unit came in ahead of schedule. The shipping does not seem to be affected by all the turmoil that the virus has caused recently. Upon purchase this unit will be delivered upon a reasonable amount of time.

Nice Trimmer
We purchased this trimmer to cut larger pieces of material. Its easier to cut material with the attached blade so the ruler doesn't slide from one side to the other, like sometimes when done manually. Works great. Really happy with it.
