First off, I have a 2016 GTI. Just out of warranty, so I stopped going to the stealership that seemingly didn’t replace the filter even though they charged me for it. Only time will tell if my filter really gets as dirty, but at least I can clean/reuse this one. It also fit more snug and noticeably eliminated a slight rattle at low fan speeds. This filter is a great replacement, but as others have mentioned, it has an oily smell for a bit. I’ve had mine a week and I still notice it when I get in the car. Might need to get a Pureflow air freshener for the filter.

Der Filter macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck, passt genau. Ich gehe davon aus, dass die Strömungsrichtung egal ist, da diese nicht markiert wurde. Dafür gibt es eine Einsparung die sichtbar sein sollte nach dem Einsetzen, dann hat man eine kleine Griffmöglichkeit und vereinfacht das Herausziehen. Aus meiner Sicht ein genialer Ersatz um nicht jedes mal neue Filter kaufen zu müssen, Auswaschen mit Reiniger und danach K&N Conditioner rauf, fertig. Gerade als Allergiker und Asthmatiker praktisch um stets einen möglichst sauberen Filter zu haben aber nicht jedes Jahr, bzw nach jeder Pollensaison neuen Müll zu produzieren (gerade nach starkem Pollenflug und bei darauf folgendem feuchtem Wetter bildet sich gerne Schimmel im Filter, somit ist aus meiner Sicht mit normalen Filtern eine Desinfektion spätestens alle zwei Jahre unumgänglich). Auf Dauer ist es somit eine ökologischere und günstigere Variante.

Will probably save in the long run with the cabin air filter vs buying paper. Wouldn't do the engine filter. Small improvement gains and is it really worth a turbo if it doesn't filter the fine particulate? I'll stick with the stock paper Mahle filters thank you.
