BIG Fantastic Bible
This is a very large Bible. Great for in depth study, but not something you can throw in your purse. It’s like a textbook. If you carry a book bag around with you, then you’re good ;) That being said, I’m so thankful that this version is available. Some literal Bibles are written with certain biases, but this one isn’t. If you really want to know what the Hebrew is conveying, you need this Bible.

Amazing OLD translation made new.
Brings life to the scripture. Difficult format but worth the effort. No transliterations!

What kind of format is this?
THis version is almost completely unreadable. THe books are not separated byt continue from one to another with only a title break. The pages are not marked so that you kjnow what book you in. You have to turn pages until you either find the book after, or go back to find where it begins. The font size is very small, but the book itself is very big (check dimensions carefully). The translation is okay, but I've found several places where I'm not so sure it is literal, but has some bias. When you do the "read more" on the web page it does show any of the Bibical text and I think there's good reason. I had had the book less than five minutes when I decieded to return it. When I submitted the request to return and get refund it was approved with the info that it didn't need to be returned. Even they didn't want it back. The translation may be good to be used as another reference if you can put up with the format. Just be aware.

It’s like one long run on sentence
I bought this value edition because of the price and I have a Hebrew/Greek interlinear already. The formatting is simple, books run into books, chapters into chapters, it’s like one long run on sentence and is challenging to read. There are no book headings at the tops of pages and the print is fully black. The type is small and the book size is much larger (not thicker), than a traditional Bible. I am not sure if there is the same formatting in the more expensive versions, so check before purchasing. (If it’s the same then why spend the extra money?) But having said that, I very much like this version because it reads much more expressively and because the verb tenses are preserved as much as possible, I feel much more immersed in the reading. 2000+ years of recorded Biblical history feels as if it is happening right now. It read more like “the Living Word”, like “G-d with us”. This is a Bible you will mark up, write in and study from, not one you will use for your daily devotions.

Poorest quality
Very poorly done. Unfortunately, I was away when this arrived and returned after the return window closed, or I would have immediately returned it.The cover has half of the print header showing. The product is perfect bound to this wax-like printed cover, which feels like it was made by a solid ink printer like an HP Phaser. The formatting of the text is inconsistent between books. The text is tedious to read with excessive line lengths, small leading, small font, interspersed formatting characters, and poor contrast. There are no headers on the pages to indicate what book or chapter is on the page. They did add an index to the page numbers at the beginning of the book, otherwise finding a particular book would be quite a task. This book is essentially a printout of the LSV source files onto low cost A4 paper with no processing or formatting beyond the added page number at the bottom of each page corresponding to their index. The margins are extremely small, and the text runs far into the binding.I laughed when I noticed the presentation page they added to the front of the text -- like as if I would ever present this mess to someone. They should have been ashamed to have presented it to us! It would take minimal effort to publish this text properly, but the producers of this travesty have done as much injustice and disrespect as anyone could. My recommendation is to avoid this product and look for a better LSV Bible.

Disappointed
As an ardent Bible student and collector, I hate to trash any Bible. I have no problem with the translation itself so the rating does not reflect that. The one-star rating has everything to do with the type-settng. The font is small for someone in their 50s like myself. It is advertised to be 8.5 pt, and it might be, but it seems smaller. But the biggest problem is that the entire Bible resembles one long run-on sentence. The listing advertises this version as being easy to navigate, but there are no indentations between verses. There is not even a break between chapters. The only spaces in the entire edition are the very slight ones in between the books themselves. And there are no page headers to tell you what book you're in. So you're basically just forced to flip through aimlessly until you find what you need. The pros are that the pages are thick--not the usual onion skin paper, and the price--$10 is a decent price for a paperback Bible. But goodness! -- the inside is an unreadable train wreck. And the pros matter little if it's such a bother to use. Also as an aside, my particular copy had creases in the first 70 pages or so.

The LSV is great, but this Value Edition is unreadable because of small font and poor format.
I love the LSV, but sorry to say, this Value Edition's font and format make it totally unreadable. I must return it.
