Great laptop for the money.
Just received it today (8-17-16} Everything loaded up quickly with no problems. Runs fast with no problems at all. Very nice laptop for the money. The screen looks good for only being 1366 by 768 resolution. For less than 400 dollars, it is a very good laptop.

I'd rather have bought something else..
The features look good for the price, but if price is not a main concern, I'd get something else.I had higher hopes for the AMD A10-9600P processor, but I think I'd have been better off with an Intel Core-i5.The laptop struggles with just basic web browsing tasks, which is a surprise for a AMD A10 processor.Pros:PriceTouch-screenLight weightLarge (1TB) hard diskDVD driveNot too many gaps that can collect dirt/debris over time.Cons:Slow hard disk.Overloaded Windows 10 is sluggish.Flakey WiFi hardware.Long startup time from boot.Maybe if I swap the hard disk out for a SSD, and re-install a clean Windows 10 Home, my view of this laptop will radically change.Update 2/2019:I upgraded to a 8th generation Core i5 laptop from HP, and I'm posting a benchmark comparing the 2.

Slow computer for the components it uses
After owning this laptop for about 85 days it had a hardware failure. HP required me to pay shipping with me having to use 2nd day FedEx. Even before this I was surprised at how slow this laptop is. I would not buy this laptop or recommend it not even considering the hardware failure because they do occasionally happen. HP makes a very similar laptop to this that is a "Beats" (improved sound) version. I have that laptop and it is noticeably faster. This laptop has a faster processor and an AMD Radion video card. It does have 2GB less of memory, otherwise the specs are the same. My Beats version is much faster. I'd pass this one by and look for something different whether it is an HP or not. There are several choices in this price range. I am most disappointed that HP does not stand behind their product 100%, then will not let you use shipping of your choice, plus you have to pay one way shipping. I could understand this policy if this computer was at the end of the warranty, but to not stand 100% behind your product when it isn't 90 days old speaks poorly of their customer service. I have purchased many HP printers and laptops, but because of this policy, I won't be buying from HP again. There are just too many computer companies out there that make comparable products for me to give HP anymore of my money.

NO dual band wireless capabilities or bluetooth.
I am giving this laptop a low rating because of the wireless card. BE AWARE THIS COMPUTER CAN ONLY USE 2.4 Ghz WiFi networks and hp said the wireless card is not upgradable. Well my boyfriend and I have done some research and are going to try replacing the card and adding an antenna (it only has 1). If it supported dual band, I would give 5 stars becaise its great for the price (minus wifi situation). It has two stars because outside of that issue, it runs very well. I was able to play Civ 5 easily on the highest graphics settings. It can run ten open tabs at a time while Steam is running in the background. Nice display. It's just the wireless card. I mean it's 2016. My 2010 laptop could access 5 Ghz networks. I never thought to take a close look at the WiFi card because I just assumed it would be a dual band.

Does what I need it to do
Good deal for the price but I wish the Wi-Fi were a bit better in both speed and range

Great quality laptop!
My lab top is perfect size, nice quality and nice storage. I'm pleased with this purchase. I've been using it everyday for the past months and it's nice! It does have short batt life so if you're taking it out make sure to bring the charger.
