Good tester, but with tiny screen
Impressive little device, works well with both normal USB and USB-C chargers (with higher voltages/current), and identifies low quality cables and incompatibilities between USB-C cables/chargers that /might/ just about work but make the device charge slower. Lots of different info available in both English and Chinese including graphs over time, and one mode with larger text but less data shown on an OLED display with pretty colours, but very small text - if you are older you might want to look at this screen with a magnifier!

Small, neat, tidy and surprisingly information packed
I have recently invested in two Asus laptops, the X13 and the X16. In the X13. For reasons that seem to only make sense to Asus they have restricted the USB-C charging for "unofficial" non Asus chargers from 100W to 60-65W.When I bought the X16, a pop up message IMPLIED but did not show that the X16 was also doing this ridiculous restriction.Software tools could show what the charge rate on the battery is, or the power consumption for the CPU or GPU were but don't show the actual power input.I needed an inline USB-C power tester and this works excellently, shows actual power in by Volts, Amps and Watts, the USB-C settings, chart over time etc.To be honest some of the chart function is kind of superfluous considering how small the screen is but, hey more info is always better. It also showed that the X16 isn't as borked as the X13, as well as how the battery management in play works when it tapers off charge once you get to a set percentage full etc.Useful, neat and just the sort of thing you say "Why didn't I get it before?"

HANDY PRODUCT, BUT THE DISPLAY TEXT IS VERY SMALL
This is a useful tool to see if a charging cable is broken or to troubleshoot an item that isn't charging. The display shows plenty useful information. The issue I have, is that the text is very small. I understand that the device itself is small. But the info can be hard to read. Well, with my old eyes at least. But still a good product.

A little big but then it ticks all the boxes in a single device
Confusingly photograph with the description indicates there should be an extra bit, happy to report the powered micro USB input is now incorporated into the device and one less thing to loose. This manages both USB and USBc rather than needing to have two devices and spending much more in the process.Being able to get the readings once your device has charged (how long did it take, how much wattage) is neat by post powering up the device via micro USB - as long as your happy to take a photograph to read the info. Some may grumble it should be via USBc input - but then again you may pay twice the cost.Current volts and ampage are thankfully big enough to read, even if current wattage and time are a little too challenging for the optically challenged like myself even with glasses.Very useful if you have problems with either a device or cable not working as it should - or where you have a cable that's only giving 10w rather than a full 20w of charge for your device.Granted you need to treat these devices with a bit of kid gloves, not sure how it would last in a tool kit or loose in a bag, but seems sturdy enough and good value for money in comparison to others

very handy tool
very handy tool

Uni-directional current a real drawback
Due to the unidirectional current flow, you can only connect at the supply end of the cable. In many circumstances that is either awkward or impossible.

Handy tool for checking USB power
Accurate readings and a clear display make it easy to monitor voltage and current. Works well with various chargers and USB devices.

Spot on little toolbox gadget
I use this for testing the USB power draw on my fleet of vehicles for drivers charging phones etc. It is so easy to use and so far has worked flawlessly every time, helping me to identify where the problem lies in several different situations.I also love how convenient it is with the various USB input/output ports, meaning that it doesn't matter what I'm testing I can always get a reading.Top gadget that is very portable.Pro's:- Multiple ports- Easy to use- CompactCon's:- Instructions in Chinese so involves a bit of Google help the first use
