Great for improving hand strength
I find that this hand strengthener works well, I have had no issues with it. It is comfortable to hold and I really like that the tension can be adjusted so that it is easy to progress your hand strength. The colour is nice it also looks nice. The only two things I would like to point out are that it can take a little while to get used to if you have small hands like I do. Also the markings on the tension wheel are not very easy to see. But if I hold the hand grip vertically with the tension wheel facing me , turning the wheel clockwise then this increases the tension and anticlockwise then decreases the tension. Generally I would recommend this product

a useful little gadget to improve grip strength
My grip has decreased in strength as a natural consequence of getting older, causing me some difficulties in everyday tasks and in playing bowls (my hobby). I saw this advertised, bought it and it arrived within 2 days. I found it very easy to use and it improved my grip almost instantly, as it exercises the muscles in the hand, fingers and thumb. I found it very easy to sit and watch tv whilst doing repetitions on each hand. It's very easy to alter the tension to increase the effort required to use it as this is a simple screw wheel to increase or decrease it. It is comfortable to use as the handle has a soft rubberised finish instead of being plain metal or plastic. It seems very sturdy so presumably will last for years. It has improved my grip strength almost overnight, enabling me to play my sport without dropping the bowls accidentally. Well worth the cost of only £5.99.

Good range for beginners, feels awkward, spring makes noise
The first things you'll notice are:It's mostly plasticThe hinges are tiny rodsThe grips are curvedAdjustable difficulty - 5-60kgThe sprint attached to the plastic by hooksBoth the hinges and the plastic tell me that this probably isn't built to last, not that I would necessarily need it to. The knob you turn to adjust the difficulty feels loose and flimsy. I'm certain that something will snap with continued use.The curved grip just feels uncomfortable and forces my hand into a weird angle no matter how many different ways I try to grip it. The seam from the plastic mold also happens to form a sharp little ridge right where the fingers lie, though I'm not sure whether this is any rougher than the textured metal you find on weight training bars and the COC grips. The only positive thing I can say about the grips is that the difficulty mechanic does seem to work pretty well. It takes quite a few turns to get it from one end to the other, but by the time I'd get closer to the upper end I'd start training with COC grips anyways. At least from this I can gather that I'm not too far gone and should be able to handle the 60lb grip when it comes in.The most annoying thing for me right now is the sound the spring occasionally makes. A tedious "clink" sound that sometimes happens that I'd guess comes from the hooks shifting. It might not make a difference to some people.I'll probably keep it, but I don't find it overly amazing.

Good for CARCing
As a climber I found this for Carcing. And it works well. Currently using it on the lightest strength for 15 mins hoping to work up to more

Very good, I just wish they were slightly larger
I have massive banana hands and I wish these were just a tiny bit bigger. My little finger ("pinkie") hangs off the bottom of the handle in use. That said, still five stars, because these are undeniably great value and this issue won't affect 95% of people. I haven't found any other brands that do fit my ginormous sausage fingers either. Can still recommend, they're sturdy, easy to adjust, ergonomic, no sharp edges.. and for a very keen price.
