I'm using this glue on paper with gold leaf material. It says to add water. It doesn't need it. The water is used to dilute the glue and help is spread farther for large pieces like wood or a wall. Used with any water the paper will instantly warp. Without water, it's perfect. Wait a min to dry, then apply. I noticed a lot of people had issues with their brushes getting hard. Just put the brush in water once you applied the glue. The glue washes away instantly. Super easy. If you keep it out the mofo will dry quick and hard and your brush will be useless. It's a juggling act but it's worth it.

I bought this to use in miniature modeling. I mostly work with 1/8 and 1/6 scale figure models of classic horror, films, and found a really great three-day printable model of Bela Lugosi as Dracula. What is pictured is the base, and I purchased this product to adhere the gold leaf seen in the photo. As you can tell from the photo, it worked quite well. Good product!

Very lovely product. Handle with care, as the leaves are very fragile. But after applying the adhesive and waiting for a few minutes until it became a little tacky, I was able to apply the gold leaf easily. I leafed a little lamp base and it really looks so lovely now.

It has a good consistency and super easy to use. You do have to work rather fast or do a small section at a time for the glue to work well and seal it after you finish applying the gilding. It will cover a good amount of surface.

I followed the instructions. I was afraid the adhesive was going to dry too quickly, but it didn’t. It simply became tacky, making it easy to sprinkle the leaf and tap it into place with the included brush. The top coat went on quickly and easily as well. I’m very happy with the end result.

I purchased this, together with all the other items needed to transform this console table on Amazon and this item specifically did not leave me that impressed as both sealed bottles came at least 10% empty from the factory: - the small brushes came squashed but they are good for applying the very thin product - a little goes a long way - the adhesive did not do a much better job than the ModPodge I used a day earlier, at least did not smell as badly as the Mod - if you are as sensitive as me the fumes from some products can leave you dizzy, coughing, with a headache and funny sensation from the stomach, proof that chemical can make you sick - I applied the gold leaf as the adhesive was still tacky, left it for a while in order not to get removed with further touch and then tapped with it's own tissue some minutes later to get set in those difficult corners of the resin pieces I have created. - Not all the resin pieces were covered with either this product or Mod, so I used some wax cream I purchased here some time ago and gave it negative feedback because it was rubbish on that project. It worked on the resin though covering the small imperfections left by the missing gold foil, however it looks way different than the gold foil on the edge of the top part of the console. - Applying the varnish when everything was dry with another brush from the pack and everything looks OK - there were no instructions on the pack so just used my logic as I really like saving every inch of gold leaf - I always work on my pieces even days/weeks later until I am declared happy, so probably in the end I will cover everything in polyurethane wax I also purchased here - a gold foil mirror was covered in it and looks perfect protecting the gold foil Not sure if I will buy this item again, there are so many similar products on this site to try.
