MKE-200. It's capable. Unfortunately I had to unplug it from the phone to hear the video I recorded - not the fault of the mic but the phone won't use it's internal speaker, nor can I plug in headphones. It did sound better than the inbuilt mic, but without a way to monitor or quickly check levels is a significant limitation.Using it on a AX33 didn't quite work as well either - auto setting is too amplified and picks up focus motors, and the ticking of the clock on the wall other side of the room, and plenty of EM noise. Cutting the level in manual makes it too quiet. Ultimately it's not positioned well on the camera, too far back. As a result, the inbuilt mics on this camcorder sound significantly better. It's better used for mobile phone which is probably why it's bundled as a kit.

Great Mic. Good value for money. The package comes with everything you need including TRS / TRS and TRS / TRRS 3.5mm cables (for smart phone connection).The sound quality is very good with a good range. The weight is good as well, it is quite light. The shock absorbers for the mic are contained within the outer barrel of the mic. They buffer the mic well so unwanted noise is kept to a minimumComes with a good wind muffler. Make sure you connect the audio cable before putting the muffler on.It compliments my Canon 90D very well as you can see.Not compatible with my Gopro 8 unless you buy a 3rd party adaptor or use the Gopro media mod. I noted that if you sit this on the Gopro there is a noticeable over hang at the top of the lens, more so if the muffler is fitted.Comes with a good quality bag for mic and all the bits.A good purchase, very happy.

I've tested this MKE 600 against other products of a similar price and it just stands out. Versatile for indoor and outdoor use, with a plus as it can supply its own phantom power. This is now my main go to microphone, for video work. Great sound and great build.

I've not actually used this yet & I've had it for months...! It looks good quality & I have no doubt it'll work very well as I use lots of Senneiser gadgets.

This is my second one from Amazon, and I am very pleased with it.As I see it I now have bought my second one, but do not allow it any where near a greyhound if you have one.There is the small problem of the wing gag it is very much like rabbit, need I say more. The mic is very robust but will not stand up to the jaws of a hound, a mess of chewed metal is all that is left.You have been warned, but that apart enjoy a really good product and I would reccomend it to any one, particularly as it is so small and compact, battery life excellent, and only switches on when filming.Pat Brewer
