1/8" thick steel flat is excellent
National Hardware N266-106 4062BC Solid Flat in Plain Steel - 3" x 48"Obviously, the Amazon blurb should say that this steel flat is 1/8" thick.Other than that, it's pretty much the same as you'll find in Lowes or Home Depot. Came in a heavy cardboard box to prevent damage. There were some fresh rust spots, but those are easily removed. This is for indoor use, but even then, you might want to spray a couple of coats of Rustoleum on once it's machined/bent etc. for your project.

Bent piece
This piece of metal was initially shaped like a "s" which wasn't how I ordered it . I expected a straight piece I was able to bend most of it back but still disappointed
