Absolutely love Golden paints but love this “open” that I purchased! This is my first tube of open acrylics and I love the expanded/slower dry time while painting! I will definitely be graduating over to replacing my heavy body with more Open tubes. This green is just gorgeous also!!

And artist friend recommended this color. I was already a fan of golden open paints. This color is so pretty mixwd with white.

The best of the best, Golden Open acrylic as never disappoint. They are pricey but still my first choice.

I am beginning to think of throwing my oils in the trash. I love it that when I make a painting with Golden OPEN that it looks like an oil painting. You can't tell the difference, and no nasty smells. I change colors by wiping my brush on paper towels and hardly any acrylic goes down the drain. These really give you more mixing and blending time and yet within days your art can be ready for varnishing and framing. Wow. I keep the paint fresh longer than oil paint inside a sealed masterson palette simply on a glass palette (no extra water). Oil will oxidize quicker than that.

I like the Golden paint product. They are rich in pigments. I am not so keen on the open part of the paint. The paint is not as thick as the heavy body paint. Yes it takes longer to dry but some time I want my masterpiece to dry faster. I guess it is good both ways.👌
