Great reader for kids
This is a graphic novel retelling of the Arthurian tale. It is for the readers that might need an extra push to be interested. The illustrations are eye catching and engaging (especially for an 8 year old boy who would rather be playing video games). The word difficulty is a great mix of easy to read and challenging. This is not intended for adults. One reviewer gave it a poor rating for being "watered down". Of course it is! It's for kids (although I enjoy it too). It is good at interesting kids in the actual Arthurian myths and encouraging further reading on the subject. My son, who is not a big reader, loves this and has asked for more in the series. So to sum up, if you've got a kid to engage in reading, this is for you. If you're looking for an adult comic, you'll be dissapointed.

Paperback fell apart upon opening
Liked the content, but the a page fell out the first time my son tried to read it. A few more pages fell out when I read it. Now he won't touch it because he's afraid it will disintegrate in his hands. So much for trying to get him excited about reading.

Good for very young kids. Poor quality binding.
These books are great to engage very young children (Pre-K) in reading and classical literature. I wouldn't recommend for older kids or adults since the stories are reaaaally watered down. I'm giving it 1 star because the pages fell off as we read it for the first time. Very cheap quality binding.

Pages fell out.
Pages fell out by page 15, the very first reading. Upon inspection, the actual pages are perforated in the binding. I was very excited to add this to my classroom, but I am highly disappointed.

A little history for young children!
Containing six chapters which are separate events in chronological order, it is important to note that this book is ALL in graphic format. Some graphic novel books have some extra details at the beginning and end in order to provide more detailed information. Although there is a glossary provided at the end, details on the original author Sir Thomas Mallory and the author of this book along with the illustrator, some background on the Knights of the Round Table and a map of King Arthur's Britain I think there could have been more. It definitely gives you an overview of some characters but I would recommend reading this along with more books on the subject so that you get a better grip on history/legend.

and this graphic novel version of the King Arthur story was a fun way to start things off
My daughter and I are just beginning to cover Europe in her ancient civilizations text book, and this graphic novel version of the King Arthur story was a fun way to start things off. If you have Netflix or can watch Mystery Files: King Arthur, I would recommend previewing that first before reading this or other books about King Arthur. The short documentary discusses the various possible heroes who may have inspired this well-known legend. As always, I highly praise graphic novels for reluctant readers whom otherwise may pass on the chapter book version. Something is always better than nothing and may also inspire them to check out the larger read if their interests are peaked.

Cheap binding -book fell apart by 3rd read.
Item as pictured but cheap binding — all of the pages started falling out by the third reading. My son received this as a birthday gift. Frustrating and disappointing that we will have to discard the book.

Needed to have more details.
Needed more information and details about what happened. A bit to vague. If you don’t already know the story, confusing

Great reading inspiration for young minds
We bought this as something we could “co-read” with a child who can read but doesn’t really get the “joy” of reading. The book was finished in under a week of bedtime co-reading and there was real sadness once it was done.
